Stained Glass Style Thank You

Hello my stampin’ friends!

I have been playing around with the Beautiful Day stamp set again. This time, I designed a card for try Stampin’ on Tuesday and our newest challenge –

These are the best sketches! Clean. Simple.

I designed this card –

libbystamps, stampin up, TSOT, Beautiful Day, Petal Palette, Petal Pair Embossing Folder, Tutti-frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins, stained glass, butterfly

It is quite similar to the one I created on Saturday.

I used the same colors, because these are great colors, and the same butterfly only in vellum here. I stamped the butterfly and let it dry. I turned it over and used the Stampin’ Write markers to color the sections on the wings. Flipped over, it gives it a stained glass effect. So pretty!

And, you guessed it, I did fussy cut the butterfly out. Again. Tip if you cut it out, cut out the antennae first. Its way easier.

You should take a look-see at what the other Design Team members created. If we inspire you, then join us! Link up you creations either on Facebook or our blog, either works.

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Beautiful Day, Petal Palette
  • Card Stock – Lemon Lime Twist, Tempting Turquoise, Card Stock Vellum
  • Ink – Black Memento
  • Other – Stampin Write Markers in Tempting Turquoise, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst & Fresh Fig, Petal Pair Embossing Folders
Happy Stampin’

Sweet Day

Today I’m designing for FUN and just playing with my paper and stamps!!

I loved our other sketch at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday (we have two Design Teams, I’m on the other one) –

Challenge #350. Optional Theme : Smell the Goodies

And, it really paired so nicely with the Addicted to CAS Challenge #125 – Sweets!

I had this lovely idea . . . . . . .

libbystamps, stampin up, Cool Treats, Coffee Cups Framelits, Coffee Break DSP, Birthday Memories DSP, TSOT, Addicted to CAS #135

I had a little bit of both these Designer Series Papers left. Plenty for a perfect card creation here! And, yes, I fussy cut those teeny tiny cupcakes!! One of the coffee cups is framelit cut, the other, fussy cut. I forgot about that framelit on the first one!

Let’s see what other fun I can get into now by just playing with my paper and stamps!! LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Cool Treats
  • Framelits – Coffee Cups
  • Card Stock – Soft Sky, Blushing Bride
  • Ink – Early Espresso
  • DSP – Coffee Break, Birthday Memories

Watercolor Season of Cheer

Happy Tuesday my friends! I’ve got a fun card designed for Try Stampin on Tuesday to share with you.

This is our Design Team sketch to inspire you –

Challenge #349. Optional Theme : Silver Bells or Easel Card

Hmmm. I had to give this some thought….I do not have any bell stamps or framelits or punches…..but, I can do an easel card!

Here is the outside of the card. It’s a Christmas Card kit from the 2017 Holiday Mini, Watercolor Christmas Project Kit –

libbystamps, stampin up, Watercolor Christmas, Watercolor Christmas Project Kit, TSOT

The kit has some beautiful cards to finish.

As you open my card, you’ll notice just what I mean –

libbystamps, stampin up, Watercolor Christmas, Watercolor Christmas Project Kit, TSOT

And, finally, the big easel reveal –

libbystamps, stampin up, Watercolor Christmas, Watercolor Christmas Project Kit, TSOT

Isn’t this pretty?? I love how it turned out!

I used two of the cards from the kit. The card measures 4 1/2 x 4 1/2, square, when closed. What I cut off the card base, I used to adhere to the inside of the card below the gold strip (part of an envelope liner).

Simple. Cute. Quick.

The designers on the Try Stampin on Tuesday Design Team created some really stunning cards too! You can see them on our blog or on our Facebook page. You can also upload your take on our sketch to either the blog or the Facebook page. We’d love for you to join us!

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Watercolor Christmas
  • Ink – Black Memento
  • Other – Watercolor Christmas Project Kit

Here Kitty, Kitty

Welcome to another Try Stampin on Tuesday card challenge! Here is our bi-weekly sketch for the next two weeks –

Challenge #345. Optional Theme : Halloween

Let me tell you, I love this sketch! I am using it throughout the week for my cards as a starting point in design. Here is what I created for this challenge –

libbystamps, stampin up, Spooky Cat, Spooky Cat Bundle, Layering Circles Framelits, Spooky Night DSP, Washi Label Punch, Cat Punch, TSOTJust adorable I tell you. Adorable! I started with a base of Crumb Cake. That way, this card would be great for a male or female!

I wanted to use up some more of the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (I’ve almost used up the entire 12 sheet pack!!) along with this darling Cat Punch! The layout had a circle in it – so that worked out really well!

The other Design Team members created some really stunning cards! Check out our Try Stampin on Tuesday blog or our Facebook page. Conveniently, you can upload your card in either place!

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Spooky Cat
  • Framelits – Layering Circles
  • Bundles – Spooky Cat
  • Card Stock – Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla
  • Ink – Black Memento

Hello Fall

Recover from your Monday off? Spend the day crafting?

Time to be inspired by a card designed for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday and our new two-week sketch –

Challenge #343. Optional theme : Leaves

I loved this sketch and the ability to show off this gorgeous Designer Series Paper. Yes, I used it in the last challenge, but with a totally different look here –

libbystamps, stampin up, Merry Cafe, Painted Autumn  DSP, TSOT, fall

and, I got the additional theme of leaves! Thanks to the patterning on the paper!

I normally don’t like all the business with the different patterns and such, but here, this cards flows quite well. Even the pumpkin was fussy cut from one of the papers! Soo nice and convenient. The stamped images are from the Merry cafe set.

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Merry Cafe
  • Card Stock – Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
  • Ink – Cajun Craze, Lemon Lime Twist, Peekaboo Peach
  • DSP – Painted Autumn

Please take a look at the other Design Team cards on our blog or Facebook page. You can create a card and join our challenge in either place! Hope to see your creations!

Happy Stampin’
