Sweet Swirly Congrats

Welcome to another inspirational sketch from Create with Connie and Mary!

As always, our sketches are so easy to use! This one is no different!

I hadn’t played around with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits in a while. Decided it was time to dust them off! They seemed perfect for this sketch!

I created this simple number –

libbystamps, stampin up, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate Sheets

Look closely at the swirls. See anything different? I decided to use a new upcoming In-Color, Powder Pink! It really is close to the current two pinks Stampin Up has, Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride.

libbystamps, stampin up, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate Sheets

This card is simply elegant! It would make a great card to congratulate someone on a variety of occasions, birthday, wedding, new baby, job – you name it!

All the elements are adhered flat to the card using Tombow Liquid Glue. Tip : to adhere the acetate, add tiny amounts of glue to the just a few of dots on the back of the acetate. That way, they will be camouflaged!

You should see how the other Design team members used this sketch. You can upload your card on our Facebook page.

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – none!
  • Framelits – Swirly Scribbles, Sunshine Wishes
  • Card Stock – Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, Power Pink, Basic Black
  • DSP Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate
  • Other – Tombow Liquid Glue

Best. Card. Ever. Watercooler. Wednesday. #111.

Ahhhh, time for great inspiration from Watercooler Wednesday!

Marsha chose a favorite for me.

Masculine theme. And, anything goes!

I guess I was thinking’ of the sweet hubs when I created this –

libbystamps, stampin up, Suite Sentiments, Urban Underground DSP, Hexagons Dynamic EF, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, WWC, masculine

……because he is. The. Best. Guy. Ever.

It’s a lot of silver foil. It doesn’t photograph well. But. In person, awesome! I am totally a fan of this background! It’s one of those thicker embossing folders. I hadn’t used it yet…….story of a crafters life, right?

libbystamps, stampin up, Suite Sentiments, Urban Underground DSP, Hexagons Dynamic EF, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, WWC, masculineThe heart was in my leftover box and it was just meant to be on this card! It’s bold. It’s balance. It was a scrap!

libbystamps, stampin up, Suite Sentiments, Urban Underground DSP, Hexagons Dynamic EF, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, WWC, masculineThe stamp set is a great one too, Suite Sentiments! Lots and lots of variety. It’s on the last page of the Occasions mini and probably overlooked as that catalog has so many wonderful products in it!

Guy card just need to be simple and straight to the point.

What do you think? The other design team members created wonderful masculine cards too. You should check them out and join our challenge this week! We love to see new faces! And, your great designs!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Suite Sentiments
  • Framelits – Sunshine Wishes
  • Card Stock – Basic Gray, Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White
  • Ink – Tuxedo Black Memento
  • DSP – Urban Underground
  • Other – Hexagon Dynamic EF

Congrats for Watercooler Wednesday #109

Today over at Watercooler Wednesday, we have a new challenge that just started.

Heidi selected some wonderful colors as an inspiration point, didn’t she?

I came up with this beauty –

libbystamps, stampin up, Special Reason, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, WWC#109, Occasions 2017

It could be a ‘congrats’ for anything, really.

libbystamps, stampin up, Special Reason, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, WWC#109, Occasions 2017

I just stamped all the flowers and then filled in with the leaves. I added a stapled piece of Very Vanilla twine just under the words. The perfect little touch!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Special Reason
  • Framelits – Sunshine Wishes Thinlits
  • Card Stock – Island Indigo, Pool Party, Very vanilla, Basic Black
  • Ink – Island Indigo, Pool Party, Tuxedo Black Memento
  • Other – Very Vanilla Thick Baker’s Twine

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Color It

I am quite honored to have been asked to be a Guest Designer for Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop for a couple of months!

wi15sathopwelcome

Our theme is Color It. That could be lots of things! Stamped images, dies cuts, coloring paper.

Perfect timing to pull out this Sale-a-Bration DSP!

I made a 3 1/2 x 5 fold over acetate card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Inside the Lines, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Watercooler Pencils, CCMC Blog HopIt’s pretty. It’s fresh! I used the new Watercooler Pencils to color the flowers first. I went over them with a blender pen to soften to look of everything.

libbystamps, stampin up, Inside the Lines, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Watercooler Pencils, CCMC Blog Hop

I added the acetate to the back of the DSP, then adhered it to Daffodil Delight. For a little added weight to the card front, I added the sentiment and double strips (one on front, one underneath) of card stock along the edge. I also put one on the card base for jotting down a note.

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – actually, none!
  • Card Stock – Daffodil Delight, Basic Black
  • DSP – Inside the Lines (FREE, Sale-a-Bration DSP)
  • Ink – none either!
  • Dies – Sunshine Wishes Thinlits
  • Other – Watercooler Pencils, , Blender Pens, Basic Black Baker’s Twine

Hope, Is on The Way

Should read, help. Help is on the way…..

A have a couple of friends who have RA, Rheumatoid Arthritis, (recently noted, Shelli Gardner, Stampin’ Up! founder does too) and the days can be unpredictable in how they feel.

Lately it’s been really rough for one of my friends. Luckily, today she go in to have a procedure to get some relief. Praises for her! And, of course, I had to create a card for her!

libbystamps, stampin up, Sunshine Sayings, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Inside The Lines DSP, SAB, Sale-A-Bration, Sale-a-bration 2017, Hope

I originally cut this piece of DSP, a FREEBIE with Sale-a-Bration, and looked at the images that we created by the cut. I really liked the bee on the flower on the right side. That became the area in which I created around.

libbystamps, stampin up, Sunshine Sayings, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Inside The Lines DSP, SAB, Sale-A-Bration, Sale-a-bration 2017, Hope

I thought the die cut sentiment and stamped image was pretty appropriate.

libbystamps, stampin up, Sunshine Sayings, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Inside The Lines DSP, SAB, Sale-A-Bration, Sale-a-bration 2017, Hope

All in all she will ‘get it’. She’s just that way!

So now after she feeling less pain, we can get back to our card making sessions!!!

Side note when designing a card with a dark base with an angled front DSP panel, make the inside writing area, angled the same way too!

Happy Stampin’

We Create the Love for February Blog Hop

This is the third post, another blog hop, you’ll be seeing from me today!

I’m feelin’ the love in this post. I’ve gotten to be a crafty little one lately!

e7ca1-wcbh2016

These two cards are for We Create! Our theme we work with is to either create a card then step it up or create two cards using the same layout. I chose to sort combine the two ideas.

Here is my first card, filled with love of course!

libbystamps, stampin up, sale-a-bration 2017, SAB17, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Double Take, Any Occasion

It’s stamped repeatedly. So simple, adding a silver heart highlighting ‘you’.

libbystamps, stampin up, sale-a-bration 2017, SAB17, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Double Take, Any OccasionThis one is stamped directly on the Whisper White card front. The heart is stapled on with the mini stapler for an edgy look. Although, you can barely see it!

The next card is a stepped up or stepped over version –

libbystamps, stampin up, sale-a-bration 2017, SAB17, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Double Take, Any Occasion

I added a Real Red heart and tiny stamped hearts for added effect.

libbystamps, stampin up, sale-a-bration 2017, SAB17, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Double Take, Any Occasion

This one is mounted using Dimensionals onto a Dapper Denim base.

libbystamps, stampin up, sale-a-bration 2017, SAB17, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Double Take, Any Occasion

Together both cards are simply stunning. Great masculine cards for any occasion too.

Leave a comment before going onto the next talented designers – we all love to read your comments!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Double Take, Any Occasion (FREE during Sale-a-Bration!)
  • Dies – Sunshine Wishes Thinlits
  • Card Stock – Whisper White, Dapper Denim, Real Red,
  • Ink – Dapper Denim, Marina Mist, Real Red
  • Other – Mini Stapler

Blogging Friends Blog Hop – February

Welcome to our February Blogging Friends Blog Hop, the month of love!

We have a guest blogger again this month, Tami White. Welcome, Tami!

Our theme this month is, of course, LOVE.

Blogging Friends Icon

This was quite convenient for me.  My hubs was going to visit his mother (in Holland, we’re in Texas) for her birthday. I always like to make him love notes to stash in his suitcase!

I went with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits from the big idea book and catalog. I paired it with a 6×6 DSP stack from the mini, Sending Love.

I wanted to show you the versatility of our dies and to use every part of it.

In this first card, I used the outer part of the heart die cut –

libbystamps, stampin up, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Large Letters Framelits, Silver Glimmer Paper, Sending Love DSP, BFBH, 3x3, love notes

I paired it with the inner part of the love die. I did plan that I would be using the outer portion and started with a square to create a 3×3 card.

Most people only use this portion of this die, the sweet, scribbly heart –

libbystamps, stampin up, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Large Letters Framelits, Silver Glimmer Paper, Sending Love DSP, BFBH, 3x3, love notes

Of course, it’s a great choice because it’s just too cute. You can see that I used it with the outer portion of the love die this time. I also don’t want to waste any of the Glimmer paper either!

Lastly, I used the center of the heart –

libbystamps, stampin up, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Large Letters Framelits, Silver Glimmer Paper, Sending Love DSP, BFBH, 3x3, love notes

It’s kinda funky and I really like the style of it! (I had a Card Buffet a couple of weeks ago and we used the inner part of the U’s then – I saved the outer parts!) This card just says, love U! How sweet is that?

libbystamps, stampin up, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Large Letters Framelits, Silver Glimmer Paper, Sending Love DSP, BFBH, 3x3, love notesAll together, some mighty fine cards to be stashed away between clothes to let the hubs know how much I love and miss him!

What do you think? Have I inspired you to used all pieces of a die cut out? I’d love to read your comments!

And, of course, this is a blog hop, so head on over to Mary Blocher to see what she has done with this months theme of love!
