Sunday Share

I love to share my creativity with people. And, I love it when those I share it with share it back!

I get lots of messages from friends and class attendees that they used this new stamp set or finally used the framelits they got or borrowed. And, I say, send me pictures of things you create, copied or not. They always forget to take a picture…..I get it.

Well, I cherish the ones I do get. I recently got a birthday card from a dear stamper friend, Charlene.

I was in aw of it. See why –

Charlene B

It is simply gorgeous! The tree and the lion are dies. The background is sponged or brayered, I’m not sure!  I just love it!! Great idea to place the tree off the sunset panel! Just fabulous!

So, THANKS Charlene for sending such a beautiful card!

On a side note……I have been trying with this new stamp catalog round to give Stampin’ Up incentive gifts for placing a certain dollar amount order. This month I gave away the new Rhinestones and added a cute reusable tag / topper for the gifts –

These are just singles.

libbystamps, stampin up, Daisy Punch, Label Me Pretty, sunflower, card candy

Here, they are cutely attached to the package –

The washi tape and the Soft Suede scalloped flower are retired products. Glad to use a tiny pit of my stash to create these.

Best part, these are reusable!

I hope to have more Sunday Shares as I am trying to encourage people to USE their stuff! Don’t let it accumulate without ever touching it! Let me show off your project for you!

Window SWAP

Ha! Ha! Window SWAP……I love this new Hearth & Home Thinlits set, aka, window frame die!!

I had this card on my last Card Buffet and I then decided to make them for a mail out swap I participated in.

libbystamps, Stampin' Up, Happy Scenes Stamp Set, Hearth & Home Framelits, Simply Scored, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Bird Builder Punch, Banner Punch, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Rhinestone Basic Jewels,

Although there is a coordinating stamp, I liked the alternate look here with looking into the house instead of looking out the window!

Up close, you can see the look of siding that I created –

libbystamps, Stampin' Up, Happy Scenes Stamp Set, Hearth & Home Framelits, Simply Scored, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Bird Builder Punch, Banner Punch, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Rhinestone Basic Jewels,

I loved this detail. I also went with two different colors of flowers, accented with Rhinestones. I used a double stack of Dimensionals for added drama on the window box too.

libbystamps, Stampin' Up, Happy Scenes Stamp Set, Hearth & Home Framelits, Simply Scored, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Bird Builder Punch, Banner Punch, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Rhinestone Basic Jewels,

These did well on the Buffet – I’m sure my long distance swapping buddies liked them too! I even created a little poem on the inside in the event they wanted to resend the card!

Go make a card and make someones day!

Special Today

Another share today from the Card Buffet.

Just something fun for someone special. You know those people!

libbystamps, Stampin' Up, stampinup, Card Buffet, Garden in Bloom Stamp Set, English Garden DSP, Note Tag Punch, Hello Honey 3/8 Satin Stitched Ribbon,

Who wouldn’t feel special receiving this?

This was an easy card! The DSP was one piece cut in half and just flipped over! No guess-work on the matching!

I love to create cards like this and show how easy it is to create cards in a flash or on the fly!

So, go make, or buy, a card and make someones day!

Friday, Feeling the Love

Watercolor Words is another fabulous new set! I was playing around with it and a few challenges yesterday.

One challenge is a color one from Paper Pals Arts, it’s current –

07-09 PPA259

And the other is a sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary

CCMC363

Both are very nice starting points.

I added my lovely stamp set and creativity and came up with this –

libbystamps, Stampin' Up, stampinup, Watercolor Words Stamp Set, Silver Foil Sheets, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, PPA259, CCMC363

Just a ‘lovely’ card wouldn’t you agree? I stamped the ‘love’ four times to create an ombre effect and because the sketch has the main sentiment at the bottom. I just thought it was fun here.

My rhinestones are also gradual in size too. Those details, you know?

I got someone special in mind for this one. Better get it in the mail!

It’s Black & White, Ornamental Pine

On to card number four from my Christmas Card Class.

I’m not sure if this was my favorite or not. But, pretty close I’d say.

libbystamps, Christmas, Black & White, Ornamental Pine, Gorgeous Grunge, White Craft Ink, Rhinestone Basic Jewels,

Stunning, right?

I must say when I first got this little mini catalog, Ornamental Pine was the first set I liked. However, it was the last set I bought. Why? Because I thought it was too simple. But, look at this card. Scroll up again. Stunning, right?

It’s just that, simple. And, it’s black and white. For Christmas.! I’ll be sending out some of these for sure.

As I was looking for inspiration for my class, I ran across a similar card that sparked my creativity. That was it. I bought this set and this card was created.

It it really easy too. The pine is embossed and the dots are behind it are stamped afterwards. Hard to see in my picture, but I placed small rhinestones on the pine needles. I did not capture that very well here. Sorry.

Stamped a greeting on Whisper White and this card was done.

Inside had a Whisper White panel for the accompanying sentiment and signing.

What do you think so far?

Home, Welcome

Ahh, the joy of coming home. Just scroll and see this adorable girly fun card I created.

I used one of the Life’s Adventure stamps. I just think this stamp set is awesome and so fun! It’s a hostess set. Finally taking the time to play around with it. I’ve used it a few times over the past few entries.

I decided to use a sketch from Techno Stampers. This is the Monday Lunchtime Sketch. It’s so fun! See the sketch –

I got really creative with my colors and patterns here on my take of it. Just see for yourself –

libbystamps, Life's Adventure, Perfectly Polkadot Embossing Folder, Back to Black DSP, Banner Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Fun, right? Followed this sketch to a T!

I stamped the ‘house’ and fussy cut it to give it a little ‘pop’. See here in my as I show off my artsey photographic skills –

libbystamps, Life's Adventure, Perfectly Polkadot Embossing Folder, Back to Black DSP, Banner Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

The ‘Welcome’ sentiment is also from the same stamp. I used tape to cover the image I did not want when I inked the stamp. I removed the tape to stamp. Did this with the main image, covering the welcome and then I covered the house to get just the welcome. This technique really makes your stamps go further. Play around with it.

I used Rhinestones for the smoke that is above the chimney. Just a bit of ‘sparkle’.

Let me know what you think of my girlie fun card!

Cheer Up Buttercup Challenge

Have a stamp set you like, but don’t know how to use it?

Have someone who needs some extra support and don’t know what to do?

I know two questions, stampin’ and oranges. Not really.

I wanted to make a card for someone who needs a big shoulder. But, I’m far away. So, the next best thing from me? Yep. A card!

So, I needed to create something special. Loved this sentiment, ‘Cheer Up Buttercup’ from the Geometrical Stamp Set. But, I just didn’t know how to use it in a soft, sweet way. So, I went to my Pinned Card Challenges.

I ran across this layout challenge at Always Playing With Paper –

I liked it because it’s clean and simple. A nice balance for this sort of funky sentiment.

This is what I came up with –

libbystamps

As you can see, I have a monochromatic pattern here, Blushing Bride, Rose Red and Melon Mambo. I forget about some of these older, still current Embossing Folders. Remember the Needlepoint Border and Adorning Accents Embossing Folders? They just added a nice little detail.

The icing on this card is the little rhinestone addition on the scallops! Sweet, huh? Almost makes you forget your feeling bad! Hopefully.

And, that’s pretty much it.

Now, I’m off to get this in the mail. Yes, it’s nice to see a ‘virtual card’ when you are down, but, it’s even nicer to receive ‘snail mail’ with goodies.

Lots of love and virtual hugs to you my dear! And, yes, Cheer Up Buttercup!
