Middle of the week inspiration coming from Watercooler Wednesday today! Our theme today, you guessed it –
I have created lots of different cards for Mother’s Day. I was thinking…..another one??
Well, after reading of some of my team members situations of loosing their own moms, I let that be my inspiration –
‘Mother in my heart’ – I thought was appropriate for the situation. And, simply done with the Labeler Alphabet!
Hard to see in both photos, but, the sentiment is framed with a scalloped piece of Copper Foil! It goes really nicely with all the shades of pink here. The card base is Blushing Bride, layered with the embossed Pink Pirouette. So pretty!
- Stamp Set – Labeler Alphabet
- Framelits – Layering Squares, Stitched Shapes
- Card Stock – Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Whisper White

- Other – Falling Petals EF, Copper Foil Sheets
Whew. Time to slow things down a bit today with a Create with Connie and Mary challenge.
We have a cool layout today to spark your creativity –
The past few days, my challenges have used the Cool Treats Bundle. Today, no different. I like for you to have some great ideas when I encourage to purchase a new bundle, lol!
Here is my take with this layout –
Sweet. Fun. Easy.
The silver foil bowl is ‘filled’ it with chocolate, strawberry and peach ‘ice creams’!!!
It’s a really fun card that I’m really happy with! I can’t wait to send it out!

Thursday. Moving right into December!
Starting the month off right with a Create with Connie and Mary challenge!
As you can see, we have a nice layout to work with –
I decided to go vertical in my design just like the sketch –
I once again used the Time of Year hostess set, the banner stamp, and, the Candy Cane Lane DSP. I have lots of it. Still.
I also went with the Layering Squares Framelits to create my ‘cookies’ behind the house.
I added some dimensionals to give the house and sentiment a little pop! It really needed it because of house busy this card is.
I’d love to read what you think of the card design and how I used the layout.
Check out what the other design team members at Create with Connie and Mary created too! This is a fun sketch to play along with, so why not join us!?!?!
- Stamp Set – Time of Year
- Card Stock – Real Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
- DSP – Candy Cane Lane
- Ink – Real Red
- Bid Shot – Layering Squares Framelits
Today I have an adorable card share. It’s for my monthly mail out swap.
I decided to also design it around a challenge too. We can always use the inspiration!
I really liked what Paper Craft Crew challenged us with. The layout that caught my eye –
Interesting , I thought. I already knew the element I wanted to use, a mouse. This just seemed appropriate.
You think so?
Their sketch reminded me of a piece of cheese on a cracker. And, what goes better than a cracker with cheese?
It just made for a fun card!
And, lots of work too! Because I was making 12, I did omit the tail and the cute little hands. But, hey, why not? It’s still just as adorable!
The finishing touch at the top was created with leftover cheese punch pieces. And, some silver baker’s twine from an old Paper Pumpkin kit. It tied everything together, literally!
So, what you think? I love reading your comments about my creations!
Time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge day!
Since the start of summer was just the other day, we have a refreshing color challenge this week –
Although, my use of the sketch was not so summer. It’s ok.
I decided to go with a card that uses no stamping but still gets a message across –
It’s all done with a set of thinlits and a set of framelits! And new ones at that!!
These squares are all in one set! It’s quite nice. And, these little butterflies or flowers? Not sure, but I liked them and it just added that special touch of dimension the card needed!
This thinlits set, Sunshine Wishes, is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. The butterfly/flower is also from that set too!
This just goes to show, that you can create a wonderful card using just cutouts!
You should see what the other designers have created using these lovely colors at Create with Connie and Mary and play along with us!
I’d love to read what you think about my card too!
