Top ‘o the Friday to ya! Happy March 17th – Saint Patrick’s Day – Friday – whatever it is to you!
I did made little treats for my coworkers. I also decided to create a card to go with them. A dear coworker and friend is leaving and I wanted to wish her well.
Color Throwdown also had great colors that just fit my needs perfectly too! Here are there challenge colors –
Very festive I’d say.
And, from the looks of my card, their picture inspired me too!
I like how fun my card is!
These are the treats I made too!
Fun and festive!
I followed a tutorial here for the shamrock/clovers. It was pretty easy once I got started.
The card, of course was my own design! I used two greens that really clash, Cucumber Crush and Emerald Envy. I liked how the gold and black offset them in this card.
What do you think? Fun? Festive? I’d love to hear from you!
Time for a Saturday blog hop for Create with Connie and Mary!
Our theme this week is Going Green. That could mean several things. A green card, St. Patrick’s Day, recycling, to name a few.
I decided to go with a green card featuring ‘shamrocks’ just for you –
A simply sweet card! Great for lots of occasions to let someone know you’re thinking of them.
I stamped flowers from the Fresh Fruit stamp and cut the fifth petal up the center to create the stem. On each one, I used a different petal to create the stem. The result? A more natural shamrock look. Kinda cool, huh?
These nifty, thinking outside the box sort of things can be found in our tutorials through Create with Connie and Mary. Check the other great designers and see what they have to share with you today and take the time to leave us a comment!

Thursday, oh how I love thee!
It’s Create with Connie and Mary challenge day today.
This week, we have a sketch challenge to spark your creativity –
I thought about what to do with this sketch and in no time, I came up with this –
Another non-Christmas card. Because this time of the year, we need these too!
I added Dimensionals to every other pear for a little added ‘pop’. And, my fold is on the left side instead of my usual top fold.
The stems are all the same, but I hand cut them using either leaf, not both. Of course, the pears are hand cut too!
I love this card! I can’t wait to send it out! It’s fresh. It’s fun!
And, backed in Real Red instead of Crumb Cake, it would make a nice Christmas thank you – even with the pears!
Check out what the other designers created at Create with Connie and Mary and join us! Challenges are really fun!
- Stamp Set – Fresh Fruit
- Card Stock –Old Olive, Pear Pizzaz, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
- Ink – Garden Green
Last week I was able to get together with my downline for some stampin’ and chattin’.
We chatted. We stamped. We traded.
Here is what we created –
Nice, simple card.
The other was a bit more amped up.
A Z-Fold oriented tall.
See how cute! We also incorporated the June Paper Pumpkin too.
I used these little summer baskets the other day and wanted to give them to my team for holdin’ all there goodies –
We just made a simple tag addition with various punches.
It made for a really nice ensemble!
I’ll share tow of the swaps –
Here is Carole’s. Terrific job on the colors and sentiment.
This one holds a surprise….
So clever Tina! Great slider – magic window – gift card holder – card! I’ll have to get the directions for this. I’ve never made one of these! I was intrigued!
Looking forward to our next get together ladies!
It’s been a couple of weeks already! Time for another Try Stampin’ Or Not On Tuesday sketch!
This week we have a fun one –
Challenge #279. Theme : The Wonder Around Us
So after I finish a card I need to put everything away. Everything. But, I don’t. I had last weeks cards sitting in front of me as well as the supplies I used. It was sort of the inspiration for my card this week.
See what I mean?
I really liked creating that plaid background last week. So much that I did it again in two different colors! It’s fresh. It’s fun.
The lemon I thought went well with the colors here. I even used it on the border.
All in all this card is pretty sweet! Don’t you agree? Please do leave a comment. I’d love to read it!
Then hop on over to Try Stampin’ Or Not On Tuesday and see what the others have created. You can play along with us on the website or Facebook too!
These summer weeks are flying by!
It’s Thursday again. Time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge. This week, it’s a color challenge –
Nice, fun, bright summer colors too!
I was in the mood to play around with my stamps this week and I created a nifty background pattern using the Cucumber Crush and Tangelo Twist. I was a bit on the fence as just what to do with it though. I sat it aside and I moved on until I could figure out how to use it.
I made a couple of peaches because the stamp was still in my work area and these colors looked peach-like. After playing around with different card bases and card stock, this was my final card using both stamped pieces –
I love it! It’s sooo fresh and fun! Don’t you agree?
I really liked the plaid background too. I made it by inking up my stamp, and stamping it twice to get this 2 color effect, just like stamping off. I did it in both directions.
The finish was stamping the words in the Tangelo Twist. Done. Love it!
These peaches were inked up with the lighter, new color Peek-a-Boo Peach then edged in the ink pad with the darker Tangelo Twist. Gave lots of dimension to the fruit.
So, now that I have enticed you with these delicious colors, go create something yourself and join us at Create with Connie and Mary. And, take a look at what the other designers have made too!

It’s Wednesday and time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge!
We have a nice layout from Deborah this time –
I was really drawn to this sketch It’s awesome! Although, I wasn’t sure what I’d use to show it off……
After playing around with my newer stuff I decided that I liked this –
It’s a bit busy – but, I just LOVE the peach!
The DSP and stamp set are in the new catalog! So fresh and fun! The sentiment is also from the same set. It’s clear so it makes it easy to do this sort of repeat stamping technique.
I also love this new embossing folder, called Festive. It was the perfect little addition this card needed!
Overall, I am very please with this and can’t wait to send it out!
So, you like it? I’d love to read what you think of it. Comments are always a treat!
Thanks for a great sketch this week, Debbie! You should pop by and see what she did with the sketch and the other design team members created too over at Watercooler Wednesday!
