Espresso and Pumpkin

Well……that could mean a nice cup of stout coffee and a yummy fall treat or it could mean a color challenge!!!!

You grab the coffee and delicious treat and I’ll show you a couple of samples for our color challenge.

Downline color challenge #9. Early Espresso and Pumpkin Pie.

Here is Carole’s beautiful card –

Carole C, stampin up

Love this stippled background. Very pretty especially since its is varying shades of Pumpkin Pie.

…and, of course, the inside –

The peak through for the sentiment is a great idea. She always goes the extra on her cards!

I am still hooked on this Seasonal Layers Thinlits –

libbystamps, stampin up, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Special Celebration, Painted Autumn DSP, Woodgrain EF, fall

I absolutely LOVE these leaves. And these sentiments that I forgot I had. Made for a simply pretty, quick card.

Thanks for stopping by today to get inspired by these lovely cards.

Happy Stampin’

Yellow, Orange and Green Needs to be Seen

Happy Friday all!

Planning your creative time for the weekend? Perhaps color can inspire you! I have Color Challenge 4 from my downline today.

Our colors, yellow, orange and green. We had two create something this week! Yay!

I got some new stuff in from the upcoming Holiday Mini and decided to play with that for the color challenge –

libbystamps, stampin up, Painted Harvest, Painted Harvest Bundle, Leaf Punch, fall, Holiday 2018 Mini

Love the stamp set and punch bundle, Painted Harvest. And, it’s photopolymer.
libbystamps, stampin up, Painted Harvest, Painted Harvest Bundle, Leaf Punch, fall, Holiday 2018 MiniI stamped my flowers in Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango. The leaves are an old favorite, Garden Green.

Joan made a beautiful card using the much sought after Daisy Bundle –

Joan W. Stampin Up

Great use of the colors! And, did you notice all the fussy cutting on the scallops??? WOW! Looks like something I’d do!

Carole created this awesome design –

I love this sunburst technique! I haven’t done it in a while! I love it when I’m inspired by my stampin’ friends!

Love the way Cheryl used the colors –

Cyl Sand, Stampin' Up

I’ll have to ask how she did this. I love the background.

All terrific cards this week!

I wonder what colors will be on for next week?? See you next Friday for Color Challenge 5.

Thank You Leaf, CCMC

Thursday already! September is almost over. Yikes! One last Create with Connie and Mary for the month!

This week, we have a nice color challenge –

ccmc426

Great colors, don’t you agree?

I wasn’t really sure what direction I wanted to go with these. I have been trying to incorporate more stamping in my cards and I did just that with this design –

libbystamps, stampin up, Vintage Leaves, Suite Seasons, Layering Ovals Framelits, CCMC426, fall

Of course, I also have fall on the brain too!

I stamped the leaved in a row randomly. I decided a basic card layout would work best.

libbystamps, stampin up, Vintage Leaves, Suite Seasons, Layering Ovals Framelits, CCMC426, fall

I added the sentiment from Thoughtful Branches, although these leaves are from the set, Vintage Leaves, the work quite well together!

And, as an added bonus, this could be given to a guy as well! A great masculine card!

I’d love for you to leave me a comment. Then, go see what the other Design Team members created at Create with Connie and Mary. Perhaps you’d like to try out our challenge this week? You should! It’s open for a week!

Supplies used –

  • Stamp Set – Vintage Leaves, Suite Seasons
  • Card Stock – Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Basic Grey, Dapper Denim
  • Ink –Tangerine Tango, Basic Grey, Dapper Denim
  • Big Shot – Layering Ovals Framelits
  • Other – Thick Whisper White Bakers Twine

Tag Punch Pumpkins

Whew. It’s September. Already.

Monday night was our Team Meeting. We always have a swap. I already made other Christmas swaps, but, at the last-minute I whipped up these adorable pumpkins for fall. Yes, two swaps!

See the batch of them –

These are SO easy to make.

libbystamps, Stampin' Up, stampin, Merry Everything Stamp Set, Work of Art Stamp Set, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Note Tag Punch, Natural & Old Olive Two-Tone Trim, Mossy Meadow 3/8 Satin Stitched Ribbon, Pumpkins, treat holder

Start with two 2×9 strips of card stock.

Score at 1 1/2,  3 1/2,  5/1/2, and 7 1/2.

Stamp as you like.

Punch each end with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

Adhere the middle section. Fold your score lines like so.

Fill with a treat if you’d like.

Take your ribbon and knot the end. Pull it up through the slit in each side.

The last one will stay secure.

Quite simple and just way too easy! I made all 12 of these in less than an hour. Start to finish.

Go make a treat or card and make someones day!
