Watercooler Wednesday #117 – Heidi’s Feminine Anything Goes Challenge

Today at Watercooler Wednesday, we have a sweet new challenge!

This can be any range of things depending on your idea of feminine. As you will see from the Design Team, designs are all-encompassing!

Mine is typical –

libbystamps, stampin up, Eastern Beauty, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, feminine , WWC117

Soft. Pink. Light. Silver.

Initially, my inspiration was the new Eastern Palace Suite that’s available for pre-order to everyone. In designing the card, it morphed into this sweet number. The stamped image is from the Eastern Beauty stamp set, part of the bundle.

The tassel is currently on the Clearance Rack! They are available in a Mini Tassel pack of silver and black. Must have items, really. And, on sale too!

The Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate sheets are extremely versatile because they are silver on one side, gold on the other! I adhered this one using a strip of Tear & Tape along the same area as the pink strip – totally hidden!

I’d love to read your comments about my typical take on the feminine challenge. Hopefully I have inspired you to join up with our challenge this week!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Eastern Beauty
  • Card Stock – Pink Pirouette
  • Ink – Memento Black
  • DSP – Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate
  • Other – Mini Tassels, Tear & Tape

Happy New year, 17

Happy Tuesday of New Years week.

And, time for a Try Stampin’ on Tuesday challenge!

This week challenge #303 is this –

Theme : Bling for New Years

After Christmas, I’m trying to get back into the spirit of stamping!

I did have a bit of trouble with this challenge. And, I always manage to create a great card nonetheless!

Here’s my take on the sketch –

libbystamps, stampin up, Making Spirits Bright, Large Number Framelits, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Silver Glimmer Paper, TSOT#303

Pretty nice, huh?

I photographed it flat because it’s one of those nifty cards made with the acetate! See –

Clearly, a great option for this layout!

I love how the 17 is bold and definitely the focal point here.

So, as we prepare to say hello to another year, have a great remaining 2016!

Take some time out to see the other designers cards. We love to read comments. And, perhaps play along with us this week at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Hanging Out for Merriest Wishes

It’s time for a new Create with Connie and Mary sketch today!

We have a nice, simple clean design to work with this week –

ccmc437

These are the kind to put into your ‘go-to’ sketch file!

I went with a Christmas card today –

libbystamps, stampin up, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Merriest Wishes, Merry Tags, CCMC437

I had lots of these supplies sitting on my table already and I just received a last-minute order in. Time to play!

libbystamps, stampin up, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Merriest Wishes, Merry Tags, CCMC437

I love this sweet little ornament die! I cut it out of the Silver Foil and layered it with Whisper White – a dimensional sets them apart.

I used thick twine to hang the ornament. I flipped the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate over to the silver side to compliment the design.

Simple. Elegant. Stunning.

How would you describe this? I love to know!

And, we’d love for you to check out the other designs at Create with Connie and Mary and join us! Playing along with sketch challenges is sooo much fun! Such great inspiration!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Merriest Wishes
  • Card Stock – Cucumber Crush, Whisper White

……and, it S T U N N I N G in person!

WWC98, Frosted Medallions, Layering Ovals, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Silver Foil, Wink of Stella Glitter Brush

I started with a base of Early Espresso. A Silver Foil layer. Whisper White with the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate (L O V E this stuff)!

WWC98, Frosted Medallions, Layering Ovals, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Silver Foil, Wink of Stella Glitter Brush

And, of course my sentiment!!! The last added detail was coloring it in with a Wink of Stella Pen for a little added shimmer.

Something simple an elegant!

I used  a masking technique to stamp the words for the background. In testing out ideas for this creation, I guess I got Cherry Cobbler ink on my ‘day’ stamp……still looks good!

Off to celebrate with family Giving lots of Thanks for family. My mother-in-law from Holland was able to join us! So grateful for that.

Wacky Watercooler October Blog Hop

Finally made time to join this wonderful blog hop again, the Wacky Watercooler!

2016-october-banner

Our theme is fall, of course!

I created a nice little array of items.

The first is a simple, elegant card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Suite Seasons, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Gold Foil, Thanksgiving card

Love these colors together! Very elegant and classy!

The third is a wonderful interactive card –

libbystamps, stampin up, slider card, Kraft Rope Trim, Layering Ovals Framelits, Halloween Night Specialty DSP, Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, Cookie Cutter Halloween

Pull up on the viewable area to see this –

libbystamps, stampin up, slider card, Kraft Rope Trim, Layering Ovals Framelits, Halloween Night Specialty DSP, Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, Cookie Cutter Halloween

…and did you see that the adorable main focal image moved up to?

Lastly, I always make some sort of Gratitude Journal for myself and as a Card Buffet item around this time. Here is the one for this year –

libbystamps, stampin up, Seasonal Frame Thinlits, Copper Foil, Kraft Tag A Bag Gift Bags, Vintage Leaves, Leaflets Framelits, Season Frame Thinlits

Inside it has 10 sheets of paper to notate what you are ‘grateful’ for. This is one of our Tag A Bag Gift Bags folded over and decorated.

I would love to read what you think about my Blog Hop projects before moving on to the next blog! And, if you attend my Card Buffet this weekend, you may or may not see these projects again, just sayin’!

Christmas Sparkle for TSOT

It’s been two week since my last Try Stampin’ or not on Tuesday post! Time flies!

But it’s time for another challenge! Here is next sketch to create from –

Challenge #293

Optional Technique : A Touch of Fabric

I really loved this layout. It took me no time at all to come up with this –

libbystamps, stampin up, Christmas Pines, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Gold Foil Sheets, TSOT293, Try Stampin' on Tuesday

Simply stunning, right? I love it!

libbystamps, stampin up, Christmas Pines, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Gold Foil Sheets, TSOT293, Try Stampin' on Tuesday

It follows the sketch to a T!

libbystamps, stampin up, Christmas Pines, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Gold Foil Sheets, TSOT293, Try Stampin' on Tuesday

These clear acetate sheets are sort of overlooked I believe. I had them out because I was designing for another card. They were THE perfect starting point for this holiday card. Of course, no fabric. That’s ok though.

So. What do you think? You like it? I’d love to read you comments.

I suggest heading over to Try Stampin’ or not on Tuesday and see just whats going on over there. Besides terrific card ideas, we have games and prizes too. You can find us on Facebook as well.
