Watercooler Wednesday #119 – Judy’s Masculine ‘Anything Goes’ Challenge

It’s been a few days since I posted last.

Nice to spend some time designing for Watercooler Wednesday today! Our theme today comes from a new team member –

Welcome, Judy!!

I went with a fun, traditional color scheme –

libbystamps, stampin up, Celebrate Today, Happy Celebrations, By the Shore DSP, Balloon Bouquet Punch

…..and, some retiring Designer Series Paper, stamp set and some items carrying over!!!

libbystamps, stampin up, Celebrate Today, Happy Celebrations, By the Shore DSP, Balloon Bouquet Punch

The Designer Series Paper has lines that make it a little shaded or rough as you can see. When I inked up my stamp, I kept getting that same lines effect! Not really sure how – but it so worked for this card!

I just thought these colors were very guy-ish, summer-ish and just plain fun-ish! Ha, ha, ha!

What do you think? You can check out the other design team cards and link up a card to our challenge on our blog.

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Celebrate Today (R), Happy Celebration
  • Card Stock – Real Red, Dapper Denim
  • Ink – Memento Black, Real Red
  • DSP – By the Shore
  • Punches – Balloon Bouquet
  • Other – Project Life Journaling Pen

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Cards with Frames

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary blog hop!

sp15sathopwelcome

This week, our theme is Cards with Frames!

Love this idea – I can finally create  this –

libbystamps, stampin up, Seaside Shore, By the Shore DSP, window card, aquarium

The aquarium card I’ve wanted to make since I got the Seaside Shore stamp set and matching By the Shore Designer Series paper!!! Both are too cute!

libbystamps, stampin up, Seaside Shore, By the Shore DSP, window card, aquarium

And, see how adorable when it’s opened?

This was just too much fun! The ‘aquarium’ border is 1/4 around three sides, with the top being 1/2. And, yes, the fishes were fussy cut. Sorry. Not everyone likes to do that.

Take a look at all the designers on the hop! We sure have some talent!

Glimmer Celebrate

We are having some beautiful weather here in the Lone Star state! Still, I like to be inside with the blinds open creating!

Today, it’s for, Create with Connie and Mary.

Really nice spring colors! I was a little stumped in my design though.

I created a card for any type of happy news –

libbystamps, stampin up, CCMC, Celebrations Duo EF, 6x6 Glimmer Paper, Balloon Bouquet Punch, Happy Celebrations, By the Shore DSPYou can ‘celebrate’ just about anything! I like these type cards – I can use them when I need them!

The (**no longer available) Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer paper really adds the ‘pop’ this card needed! Don’t you agree?

**This Glimmer Paper was a promotional item for Sale-a-Bration 2017 that has sold out. Until March 31st, you may pick one of these items instead.)

Check out what the other Design Team members created on our blog. Some of the designs, I had an ‘oh, duh, why didn’t I think of that moment’!!!!

You can submit a card using the above colors on our Facebook page. Hope to see you there!

Best Fishes, CCMC 421

It’s Thursday, Create with Connie and Mary day!

We have a super great sketch to work with –

CCMC421

When was the last time you did some series fussy cutting? Me, not long ago because I just had to create this little stinker, no pun intended –

libbystamps, stampin up, CCMC421, Seaside Shore, By the Shore DSP, Labeler, Seaside EF, fishes card

Isn’t this just adorbs? Such a fun, fun card! Could be wedding or good luck or even birthday, and it’s gender neutral!

I recently got both these sets. I was so inspired! But, there are not dies to go with it, only scissors.

libbystamps, stampin up, CCMC421, Seaside Shore, By the Shore DSP, Labeler, Seaside EF, fishes card

Some nifty tips I used as I created this. The two circles were punched first, then embossed. The line of sequins – I glued them to a thin strip of card stock to keep them in a perfect line. The letters were stamped them individually cut out and glued down. The fishes and plants were also cut out, yes individually.

Lots of work. Lovely outcome.  You agree?

Head on over to Create with Connie and Mary to see what the other fabulously talented designers created with the sketch. And PLAY ALONG with us! We love to see how you interpret our sketches!
