Watercooler Wednesday 135 – Judy’s Feminine ‘Anything Goes’ Challenge

Slowly getting back into creating and blogging. Between working a part-time job, helping others with recovery needs, my own moving of stuff and a retired husband home – sometimes hard to find my creative time! I’ll get there. I know.

Good thing about challenges. Commitment. So, I have to create! Works for me!

Today, I got busy for Watercooler Wednesday!

We have our usual round of challenges. Today, it’s hosted by Judy –

These are probably our core in card making! Women love handmade things, especially cards!

I had packed these particular new items up a couple of weeks ago (wow, that long already?!?!) in preparation for Harvey, and, of course misplaced them when I went to put them back!

But, alas, I found what I was looking for and created this –

libbystamps, stampin up, Rose Wonder, Quilt Builder Framelits, WWC, quilt

It’s a new product in Stampin Up’s holiday Holiday mini catalog called the Quilt Builder Framelits! Name is very fitting I’d say! It’s paired with a Christmas set. Clearly these framelits are not exclusively Christmas.

libbystamps, stampin up, Rose Wonder, Quilt Builder Framelits, WWC, quilt

All these colors work nicely too! This is going to be a favorite set of mine I think! It paired well with the Happy Birthday font from the Rose Wonder stamp set.

As a tip if you own this framelit set, as you make your quilt die cuts, save the inside unused quilt pieces for future use! You’ll have enough pieces for a new scrap quilt in no time!

Alright. Check out the other Design Team cards at Watercooler Wednesday this week. Take time to link up a card too!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Rose Wonder
  • Framelits – Quilt Builder
  • Card Stock – Sweet Sugarplum, Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
  • Ink – Black Memento
Happy Stampin’
Libby

Watercooler Wednesday 133 – Penny’s All About Christmas Challenge

Had to take a few days off after an exhausting weekend and then an afternoon at the dentist!

I’ll get back into the swing of things with a card designed for Watercooler Wednesday!

Our challenge this week is from Penny. And, it’s a Christmas challenge! Time to start thinking about getting those cards created. Early.

This past weekend, I had my monthly Card Buffet. I had one Christmas card on the selections. (That card will post Thursday.)  I had several purchase supplies and ask what other designs could be created using the supplies. Well, here is an idea –

libbystamps, stampin up, Watts of Occasions, Be Merry, Gold Wink of Stella, WWCI just love the Watts of Occasions stamp set. And, this paper!!

libbystamps, stampin up, Watts of Occasions, Be Merry, Gold Wink of Stella, WWC

They make for a great combination! Just a simply great design of a card. The addition of the Gold Wink of Stella pen really made the tree pop!

Both these items are available for purchase in the regular Stampin’ Up catalog.

Although it is just August, take a look at the other Design Teams cards at  Watercooler Wednesday . We hope to spark your creativity enough to join our challenge.

Watercooler Wednesday 132 – Marsha’s Masculine Anything Goes Challenge

Week is halfway done. Time for a Watercooler Wednesday challenge!

Theme this week as you can see, masculine!

I always seem to gravitate towards simple, clean, darker colors. This is what I designed –

libbystamps, stampin up, Happy Celebrations, Banners for You, Bunch of Banners Framelits, Wood Textures DSP, WWC

I started with stamping the ‘happy’ sentiment on the Wood Textures paper. I just built the card from there. Adding elements such as the stamped party hats and then the adding the presents as I went along. It just needed a little something at each step.

And, it’s not too overdone. You agree?

Need a little more inspiration? Well, check out our Watercooler Wednesday blog. Some great ideas that everyone came up with. You can also link your creation to our challenge there as well.

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Happy Celebrations, Banners for You
  • Framelits – Bunch of Banners
  • Card Stock – Crumb Cake, Dapper Denim, Real Red, Very Vanilla
  • Ink – Dapper Denim, Real Red, Very Vanilla
  • DSP – Wood Textures
Happy Stampin’

Watercooler Wednesday 128 – Heidi’s Masculine ‘Anything Goes’ Challenge

Happy Watercooler Wednesday, middle of the week, favorite day – whatever it is for you!

For me, it’s time to create a card for a new challenge over here.

We always need masculine ideas – so this is a GREAT challenge to have!

Surprise! I was playing with this Birthday memories Suite again!

libbystamps, stampin up, 2017-2018 Stampin Up catalog, Birthday Delivery, Birthday Delivery Bundle, Birthday Friends Framelits, Layering Circles Framelits, Birthday Memories DSP, Birthday Memories Suite, WWC

I am loving this whole bit of adorable products as you know! The chef here is a stamped image and die cut with a framelit.

libbystamps, stampin up, 2017-2018 Stampin Up catalog, Birthday Delivery, Birthday Delivery Bundle, Birthday Friends Framelits, Layering Circles Framelits, Birthday Memories DSP, Birthday Memories Suite, WWC I think it’s very clever how it appears that the icing is actually being squeezed  from the tube to write these letters. At first, I didn’t understand this stamp set – now, it makes total sense!!!

This was a simple card to. Took minimal time to create it.

Did you know the Birthday Delivery Bundle includes the stamp set, framelits and the Designer Series Paper for one low price?? You’re ready to create a card like this at a moments notice because you have everything need!

And, I’m going to include the Balloon Honeycomb Embellishments, free when someone, perhaps you, purchases this bundle! That’s in addition to the $5.00 coupon that Stampin’ Up will give you during bonus days. You can do it here! Use hostess code, N3HH9XKF.

Back to the challenge and the masculine cards……Head on over to Watercooler Wednesday and see the other Design Team members ‘masculine’ cards – get inspired and JOIN US!! You can link up your creation on our blog.

 CREATE WITH CONNIE AND MARY

Congrats for Watercooler Wednesday #109

Today over at Watercooler Wednesday, we have a new challenge that just started.

Heidi selected some wonderful colors as an inspiration point, didn’t she?

I came up with this beauty –

libbystamps, stampin up, Special Reason, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, WWC#109, Occasions 2017

It could be a ‘congrats’ for anything, really.

libbystamps, stampin up, Special Reason, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, WWC#109, Occasions 2017

I just stamped all the flowers and then filled in with the leaves. I added a stapled piece of Very Vanilla twine just under the words. The perfect little touch!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Special Reason
  • Framelits – Sunshine Wishes Thinlits
  • Card Stock – Island Indigo, Pool Party, Very vanilla, Basic Black
  • Ink – Island Indigo, Pool Party, Tuxedo Black Memento
  • Other – Very Vanilla Thick Baker’s Twine
Happy Stampin’
Libby

Watercooler Wednesday, #65

Meanwhile, back at Watercooler Wednesday, we have a great challenge to play along with this week!

WWC logo

It’s an anything goes challenge –

WWC65

These are fun because you can choose anything to submit!

I decided to go opposite my design team members with a card from my recent Card Buffet

libbystamps, stampin up, WWC65, Large Numbers Framelits, graduation, gift card holder, Card Buffet

Yes. A graduation card! It’s never too early to start making these!

libbystamps, stampin up, WWC65, Large Numbers Framelits, graduation, gift card holder, Card Buffet

And, not only is it a card, it’s also a gift card holder!!!!

libbystamps, stampin up, WWC65, Large Numbers Framelits, graduation, gift card holder, Card Buffet

The card also slips out too! I added a nifty velcro closure as well!

These are too simple to create –

  • Start with a standard 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 base.
  • Score at 1 3/4 and 4 1/4.
  • Use Tear & Tape on the edges of the 1 3/4 side, this will be your pocket, fold up.
  • Decorate as you like!

Some of the guest this past weekend knew exactly who they needed these for. They added two Banner Flags in the school colors at the bottom of the opening flap. It was just the right touch!

So, what are you up to creating these days? How about submitting it to the Watercooler Wednesday challenge this week? We’d love to see you! Check out the others designs! Some great work I tell you!

And, it’s also good ‘card-carma’ to leave a kind word about my card share and tutorial today!

Happy Stampin’
Libby

Watercooler Wednesday, Challenge 64

Back at the cooler…..

WWC logo

We have a GREAT challenge starting today –

WWC64

Heidi’s CAS, Clean And Simple Spring challenge. Some struggle with these type. But, really it’s no need to fret. Clean. Simple. That’s it.

Here is what I consider CAS –

libbystamps, stampin up, WWC64, Happy Day, Rose Wonder, CAS

Doesn’t get much more clean or much more simple. Half sheet of card stock, it’s one layer. Two stamps. Two inks. Done.

FYI, the ‘hello there’ is from the retired stamp set, Happy Day.

I made a bunch of these too. I recently joined our neighborhood Beautification Committee. It was my first meeting. I thought it’d be a nice surprise to send a little snail mail to show my appreciation for joining the group after we met.

Perhaps some of the ladies would like to learn more about stamping??? We shall see. We will meet monthly and I’m already thinking about a little treat or another card for the next gathering.

This is an easy, simple, clean card that should inspire you on just how easy these cards can be! And, yes, if you follow me, you know this is right up my alley!!

Join the Watercooler Wednesday to see what the other talented team members created with this challenge. And, play along – it’s so much fun!

You should leave a comment too – because comments make bloggers feel good!! It’s also good ‘card-carma’!

Happy Stampin’
