I have created lots of different cards for Mother’s Day. I was thinking…..another one??
Well, after reading of some of my team members situations of loosing their own moms, I let that be my inspiration –
‘Mother in my heart’ – I thought was appropriate for the situation. And, simply done with the Labeler Alphabet!
Hard to see in both photos, but, the sentiment is framed with a scalloped piece of Copper Foil! It goes really nicely with all the shades of pink here. The card base is Blushing Bride, layered with the embossed Pink Pirouette. So pretty!
Stamp Set – Labeler Alphabet
Framelits – Layering Squares, Stitched Shapes
Card Stock – Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Challenge #319. Optional Theme : Circle or Oval card
How cool is this?!?! We don’t create shaped cards too often these days, so this is refreshing!
I went with a lovely floral-ish card –
I think this is just soo sweet! My mom will love it! I loved the sparkly strip from the glimmer paper myself.
This pattern from the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper is cool in that you can actually use the coordinating framelits to cut out the preprinted flowers in the paper!!!! So, that’s what I did. Hah, minimal stamping!
Both the framelits and the stamp set are retiring. However, they are on SALE which makes it really nice on the pocketbook. The framelits are only $16.50 (regularly $33!) and the stamp set, Oh So Succulent, is $15.75 (regularly $21!). Did I mention the paper is on sale too? What a bargain!!!
I hope I have inspired you with my round card! You can see the other Design Team cards on the blog or our Facebook page. You can also link up a card in either place too! Come join us! It’s fun!

Our theme this week is Spring Flowers! Just perfect – because everything here is just a blooming!
I think of tulips when I thing spring. So, that was my inspiration for this –
……and Mother’s Day. It’ll be be here before we know it!
These sweet tulips were created using a couple of the egg framelits from the Basket Builder framelits. Would you believe that!?!?! Yes, it took two Big Shot passes for each one, but so worth it. These are adorable flowers!
Silly title I suppose. It’s because I used the April Paper Pumpkin kit, Lovely Little Wreath. Well, the stamp set that came with it to stamp this –
Just a lovely little card!
I had a request to create a quick card that could be mass-produced. This seemed to fit the bill.
I started with our Note Cards & Envelopes. These are a must have to make quick cards when you need them.
Then it’s a piece of 3 x 4 DSP cut on the diagonal, you can get 12 fronts from one 12 x 12 piece of DSP! I adhered it to the card front leaving space on the sides but not the top and bottom to create the opening in the middle.
The sentiment is stamped and punched with the soon-to-be retiring Note Tag Punch. Oh, and, I guess the Banner Punch is leaving too. Sad face.
Anyway, I whipped this up in less than five minutes, start to finish. I’m going to give it to my mom later today for Mother’s Day!
I’d love to hear what you think – it’s good ‘card-carma’, especially if you are going to ‘pin’ this.
We alternate our weekly challenges between color to create with and layouts to follow. This week it’s a layout –
I like this layout. I created this card in no time. Going with the Mother’s Day again. I loved the colors of my card.
Every mom wants to feel special – especially on Mother’s Day.
The DSP is from the 6×6 Go Wild pack. Believe it or not, this pattern had the tiny little Tip Top Taupe slash lines running along the edge. That is the color I used to create the leaves behind the flowers.
And, yes, I used two different framelit sets here. The flower is from Botanical Builder and the leaves is from the Rose Garden Thinlits. So, yes, pulling all sorts of products out!
As you can see, it created a lovely card fit for mom or really anyone else!
I’d love to hear what you think of my card! Then, you should head over to Create with Connie and Mary to see what the other fabulous designers have created to inspire you! And, P L A Y A L O N G with us!!
And, thought, and thought……I was drawing a total blank on how to create with this simply fabulous sketch. Ugh…..
I just had to sleep on it. When I awoke, I knew exactly the direction I wanted to go in –
Isn’t this just the loveliest? Oh my, in person – W O W Z A !!!!
It was very difficult to photograph because the style of this card. It’s one of those fold over cards (I think).
This is the back to help explain what I mean.
The inside is a piece of retired Sale-a-Bration 2016 vellum. The card really needed the extra support.
I also backed the leaf with the vellum to tie it all together! The stamped image is the bonus from the April Paper Pumpkin kit, Lovely Little Wreath.
I sure love this card. I’m going to have trouble deciding just who to give it to, my mom or my mother-in-law……
Please take the time to leave a comment – because it’s good ‘card-carma’! And then head over to Try Stampin’ Or Not On Tuesday and play along with us. You can even submit projects via their Facebook page!
