Don’t Box Me In – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Happy Saturday my blogging friends! Time for a Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features boxes!

Handmade boxes are the best because you can customize them to just about any size you need. And, with all the fabulous Designer Series Papers Stampin’ Up has – you can’t go wrong!

I made this darling 3 x 3 box with a peachy top –

libbystamps, stampin up, Beautiful Bouquet, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Banner Triple Punch,Gold 3/8 Metallic Edge Ribbon, CCMCWith an adorable tag to match –

libbystamps, stampin up, Beautiful Bouquet, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Banner Triple Punch,Gold 3/8 Metallic Edge Ribbon, CCMCI started with a Very Vanilla base of 7 x 7. Scored at 2 inches on all four sides. Make cuts and assemble, creating a basic open box.

The lid is (just retired) Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper cut at 6 x 6.

It is has two scores lines on all four sides. To make a snug fit on the lid, whatever your base is made of, take a straight scrap of the same card stock, fold it in half and place it on the left side of your Simply Scored to move the paper slightly away from the left side. Score at 1/2, and 1 1/2. You will cut away a few of the extra pieces, making this also a basic ‘box’ that is used as the lid.

I decorated the box when it was done! I cut a couple of peaches from the paper and stamped the perfect image from Beautiful Bouquet!

I am so excited to see what Debbie Henderson, and Mary Brown created!

Amazing. Fabulous. Inspiring.

Happy Tuesday my friends!

Time for a new Try Stampin’ on Tuesday sketch –

Optional Theme : Butterflies

What a great mix of theme and layout!

I went with a Mom’s Day card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Yay You, Garden in Bloom, Apron of Love, Thoughtful Banners,Tutti-Frutti 6x6 DSP Stack, Stamparatus, TSOT

I am just overjoyed at how this turned out!

I created the banner flags first from the Yay, You hostess set. Inside each banner, I used the Garden in Bloom for the butterflies and the Thoughtful Banners for the sweet sentiments.

I repeated ‘Mom’ using the new placement tool, the Stamparatus, that will be available in June. It makes this sort of stamping soo easy!

So. What do you think? Isn’t this just the sweetest? I’d love to hear from you too.

Since this is a challenge, you can create a card and join us at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday or link up on our Facebook page!

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Yay, You (retiring, banners), Garden in Bloom (retiring), Apron of Love (mom), Thoughtful Banner
  • Card Stock – Pink Pirouette (retiring color), Flirty Flamingo
  • Ink – Dapper Denim, Peekaboo Peach (BOTH retiring colors), Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo
  • DSP – Tutti-Frutti 6×6 (retiring)
  • Other -Stamparatus (COMING later in June)

Mom, You’re Truly Amazing

I’m so excited for our newest sketch at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Challenge #363. Optional Theme : Motherly Love

I just love these simple sketches! Love them!

I went right away to create this –

libbystamps, stampin up, Apron of Love, Yay You, Rose Garden Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Circles Framelits, Petal Garden 6x6 DSP Stack, Banner Triple Punch, TSOT

A beautiful card using some really loved products. Sadly, some are retiring Stampin’ Up products.

My favorite and retiring, the flower framelit and the Designer Series Paper. These are two key items that make card creating quite easy!

Check out the other Design Team cards to see what they did with this wonderful sketch. You can also create a card and show it off on our blog or on our Facebook page.

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Apron of Love, Yay You (hostess, retiring)

Don’t be Square – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Happy Saturday!

Welcome the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features cards that are not square.

This is a cool idea!

I went with a framelit shape –

libbystamps, stampin up, Apron of Love, Lots of Labels Framelits, Pick a Pattern DSP, Whisper White 1/4 Organza Ribbon, CCMC

A very sweet Mother’s Day card!

I used some soon to retire colors, Flirty Flamingo and Emerald Envy. The Pick a Pattern Designer Series paper will be retiring too. The stamps are from Apron of Love.

Simply put together! And a great use of these framelits!

As my card was getting it’s photo shoot, someone else decided they needed to be in the shoot as well –

libbystamps, stampin up, Apron of Love, Lots of Labels Framelits, Pick a Pattern DSP, Whisper White 1/4 Organza Ribbon, CCMC

Lol!!! She is soo cute!

Curious to see other non-traditional shapes? Go forward to Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown. I know they’ll have some terrific ideas!!

Watercooler Wednesday #118 – Penny’s ‘Mom’ Theme Challenge

Middle of the week inspiration coming from Watercooler Wednesday  today! Our theme today, you guessed it –

I have created lots of different cards for Mother’s Day. I was thinking…..another one??

Well, after reading of some of my team members situations of loosing their own moms, I let that be my inspiration –

libbystamps, stampin up, Labeler Alphabet, Layering Squares Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Fruit Stand DSP, Sweetheart Punch, Copper Foil Sheets, Falling Petals EF, WWC118

‘Mother in my heart’ – I thought was appropriate for the situation. And, simply done with the Labeler Alphabet!

libbystamps, stampin up, Labeler Alphabet, Layering Squares Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Fruit Stand DSP, Sweetheart Punch, Copper Foil Sheets, Falling Petals EF, WWC118

Hard to see in both photos, but, the sentiment is framed with a scalloped piece of Copper Foil! It goes really nicely with all the shades of pink here. The card base is Blushing Bride, layered with the embossed Pink Pirouette. So pretty!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Labeler Alphabet
  • Framelits – Layering Squares, Stitched Shapes
  • Card Stock – Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Whisper White
  • Ink – Chocolate Chip
  • DSP – Fruit Stand
  • Punches – Sweetheart
  • Other – Falling Petals EF, Copper Foil Sheets

It’s a Round for Mother’s Day

This week over at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday, we have a really cool sketch to work with!

Just see for yourself –

Challenge #319. Optional Theme : Circle or Oval card

How cool is this?!?! We don’t create shaped cards too often these days, so this is refreshing!

I went with a lovely floral-ish card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Oh So Succulent, Succulent Framelits, Oh So Succulent Bundle, Succulent Garden DSP, TSOT#319

I think this is just soo sweet! My mom will love it! I loved the sparkly strip from the glimmer paper myself.

libbystamps, stampin up, Oh So Succulent, Succulent Framelits, Oh So Succulent Bundle, Succulent Garden DSP, TSOT#319

This pattern from the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper is cool in that you can actually use the coordinating framelits to cut out the preprinted flowers in the paper!!!! So, that’s what I did. Hah, minimal stamping!

Both the framelits and the stamp set are retiring. However, they are on SALE which makes it really nice on the pocketbook. The framelits are only $16.50 (regularly $33!) and the stamp set, Oh So Succulent, is $15.75 (regularly $21!). Did I mention the paper is on sale too?  What a bargain!!!

I hope I have inspired you with my round card! You can see the other Design Team cards on the blog or our Facebook page. You can also link up a card in either place too! Come join us! It’s fun!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Oh So Succulent
  • Framelits – Succulent Framelits
  • Bundles – Oh So Succulent Bundle
  • Card Stock – Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White
  • Ink – Early Espresso
  • DSP – Succulent Garden
  • Other – 6 x 6 Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack
Happy Stampin’
