Consider Yourself Hugged

Happy ‘three post’ Thursday!

My first post is for Create with Connie and Mary and our new color challenge for the week.

I love these soft, sweet colors!

So I found an adorable bunny to go along with these colors –

libbystamps, stampin up, We Must Celebrate, Lots of Love, Springtime Foils DSP, Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, Starburst Punch, 2" Circle Punch, Metallic Enamel Shapes, Whisper White 1/4 Organza Ribbon, Sale-a-Bration, SAB, CCMC

This just makes me want to squeeee!

The bunny came from the We Must Celebrate stamp set in the Spring Mini. It was a strip of animals and I just fussy cut him from the bunch.

From that, I colored him and just added different pieces to build the card. The final touch was the silver hearts. Just  the right finishing touch!

The card also use Sale-a-Bration paper too! It’s SOOO elegant!

The others members on our Design Team created some beautiful cards! Check them out here! Want to show off how you used our challenge? You can do that here.

If you have time, check out my other two blog post today! I’m sharing some fun cards using more Sale-a-Bration items!

Celebrating Love – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Hello, my Saturday friends! Today is Create with Connie and Mary blog hop day!

Our theme this week is Celebrating Love.

Perfect – as Valentine’s Day is this coming Wednesday. That’ll give you time recreate my card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Sure Do Love You, Lots to Love Box Framelits, Sure Do Love You Bundle, Painted with Love Specialty DSP, CCMC Isn’t this adorable? Can you guess who I made it for??

At my January Card Buffet, I featured this Bridge Fold style card as one of the choices. I decided it’d be perfect for a little Instax photo and a Valentine card. And, just THE right card for our Celebrating Love theme this week.

I started by using a 4 1/4 x 8 strip of card stock, scored at 1 1/4 and 2 1/2, from each end. Then I simply followed the basic directions for these cards.

libbystamps, stampin up, Sure Do Love You, Lots to Love Box Framelits, Sure Do Love You Bundle, Painted with Love Specialty DSP, CCMC  This will be a nice surprise as it folds flat in a standard envelope!

If you have any questions, please let me know! I’d love to hear from you!

Check out Debbie Henderson’s way of Celebrating Love, and back to Mary Brown to see what she’s created. I know you’ll be inspired by everyone on our hop this weekend!

I’m Yours, Be Mine

Hello my stampin friends!

I designed a card for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday and our new sketch challenge –

Challenge #354.

We are adding color combinations to our mix of challenges!

I added the theme of love with this card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Sure Do Love You, Lots to Love Box Framelits, Sure Do Love You Bundle, TSOT

……and, these cute little animals! They are from Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper.

Isn’t is sweet?? I started with the two animals which I fussy cut. The heart I stamped in Flirty Flamingo onto the Powder pink card stock. I added to stamped hearts with the phrases and decided to emboss the background.

I just kept adding elements until it felt right. I love the results, don’t you?

If you’d like to see the other Design Team cards, you can see them here. If you’d like to join our challenge, you can do it on our blog or on our Facebook page. Looking forward to seeing what you have created!

Red, White and Pink – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Hello my crafty friends! Sharing the love today for Create with Connie and Mary and our Saturday blog hop.

Our theme this week is Red, White and Pink.

With these colors, you’d think Valentine, right? Well, I created an occasion neutral card, lol –

libbystamps, stampin up, Epic Celebrations, Sweet & Sassy Framelits, Tutti-Frutti 6x6 DSP, CCMC

See what I mean? It’s the red, pinks and whites, but the sentiment could be for lots of occasions : birthday, love, just because, congratulations…..you get the idea.

The guitar, ‘You’re Awesome’ and the background dots are from the Sale-a-bration set, Epic Celebrations! It’s just really cute!

I stamped the guitar twice, once on Real Red and the other on Pink Pirouette. And, did my favorite, fussy cutting both parts out. I’ll admit, it was sort of hard to see on the Real Red while cutting.

Both lovely Real Red Designer Series Paper are from a sweet little 6×6 stack, Tutti-Frutti. It’s just enough pattern for the card.

Both hearts are from the Sweet & Sassy Framelit collection.

I hope I have inspired you to create an occasion neutral card! If so, leave some love!

Hop on over to the talented Debbie Henderson, or back to Mary Brown if you haven’t seen her lovely creations. Either way, I know you’ll be inspired!

We Create – February Blog Hop

Happy first day of February and, happy Three Post Thursday!

My third post is another blog hop for We Create.

Our theme is to create a card, then recreate it again, adding elements to ‘step it up’, make it fancy.

As my focal image, I’m using a favorite of mine, Watts of Occasions –

libbystamps, stampin up, Watts of Occasions, Bubbles & Fizz DSP, We Create, Sale-a-Bration

It’s just too cute!!! This is simple. Pretty. Elegant.

But…..add a few elements……and you get this –

Just as lovely too! Bright, cheerful.

I added the Designer Series Paper, Bubble & Fizz, that you can earn free through Sale-a-bration. I made the border around the focal image slightly smaller. The heart is also fussy cut in Calypso Coral.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop – February – Red

Happy first day of February and, happy Three Post Thursday!

My second post is a blog hop for a group of us we call ourselves, Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

As you can see, our theme is Red.

What a bold color to feature, and my favorite color by the way!

I love using as much as I can when I create. Here is the perfect example…..

First card –

libbystamps, stampin up, BFBH, Petal Palette, Lots to Love Box Framelits, Mini Heart, Petal Pair EF, Everyday Label

And, my second card –

libbystamps, stampin up, BFBH, Petal Palette, Lots to Love Box Framelits, Mini Heart, Petal Pair EF, Everyday Label

See how the two cards use the negative and the positive cut out? And, they both use similar elements.

libbystamps, stampin up, BFBH, Petal Palette, Lots to Love Box Framelits, Mini Heart, Petal Pair EF, Everyday Label

Sentiment is from the same stamp set, Petal Palette, either framelit cut or punched out.

Both cards use the same embossing folder, Petal Pair. And, heart cut from the Lots to Love Box Framelits.

I hope you love these two cards and see just how to use all pieces when creating! Check out my other posts for today too – I have lots to share!

Life is So Much Better with Tulips

Happy first day of February and, happy Three Post Thursday!

My first post is for Create with Connie and Mary and our newest challenge. A color challenge –

‘Lovely’ colors! Perfect for expressing love!

When I saw these colors, I thought of the massive tulip fields I’ve seen in Holland. I decided to use the hostess set, Tranquil Tulips, as a starting point for my card.

I stamped the tulips in the colors of the challenge, then fussy cut them out.

Then they sat there. It happens, right? After several ‘arrangement options’, I settled on this –libbystamps, stampin up, Tranquil Tulips, Tutti- Frutti Cards & Envelopes, CCMC, Sale-a-brationAnd, I LOVED IT!!!!

My card base is one of my favorites this year, the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes in Calypso Coral. I then layered with Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White and these beautiful tulips!

The sentiment was stamped. At that point, the card needed something else. I added the tiny dotted stamp from the Tranquil Tulips – that looked like a heart – randomly on the card. That was it. That was what the card needed!

I hope I have inspired you to play with these colors and submit a card to our Facebook page. Additional card samples from our Design Team can been seen on our blog. Check us out!

Check out my other posts today too!
