Hello

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge!

Isn’t this a great layout this week?!?! I love it!

In designing my card for this week, I realize that I can use more simple, everyday cards. So, I went with a ‘hello’ card today –

libbystamps, stampin up, Calligraphy Essentials, Share What You Love DSP, Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Marker, CCMCThis lovely ‘hello’ is from Calligraphy Essentials. When stamped, it stamps the outline of the word. It’s nice, but it needed to be a little bolder for this card. I took my Stampin’ Write Marker and just colored it in! I wanted a thicker, bolder look for the sentiment.

(Surprisingly, this color, Blackberry Bliss, is a returning color. Both my ink pad and marker worked perfectly after all these years and use in previous classes! Awesome our pads are so long-lasting!)

Oh, back to the card….the bold Designer Series Paper is the Share What You Love. It’s subtle, but a little bold too! I love it here.

I figured this would make anyones day to receive! I’ll make a few more and might even have this on the July Card Buffet.

As always, our Design Team creates some terrific cards. Check them out on the Create with Connie and Mary blog. If you want to show off what you made from our inspiration? You can do that on our Facebook page.

Poppy Pool Party Friend

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge!

We’ve been ‘CASEing’ the new Stampin’ Up catalog for a few weeks now because there are soo many great ideas within its pages!

Here is our last catalog image to be inspired by –

Quite a pretty image!

I really felt the urge to use the (formerly known as) Oh So Eclectic Bundle.

libbystamps, stampin up, Oh So Eclectic, Love What You Do, Oh So Eclectic Bundle, Eclectic Layers Thinlits, Everyday Label Punch, CCMC

The image shows light stamping behind the main focal point. I thought the dies from the Eclectic layers were perfect as they emboss leaving a slight image, not cut! So it makes a nice impression on the card.

I also stamped the little plus signs too in the background.

I love how this card turned out. It’s not my typical style….but, sometimes we need to step out of our design box! I think it’ll be a big hit.

The other Design Team members at Create with Connie and Mary created some great cards too! Go take a peek.

Design your take on the sketch and link up here on our Facebook page.

Garden Impressions Hello

Hello!

Got a share today designed for try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Our newest challenge –

Optional theme : Vellum

Ok, I missed the vellum part….but, I nailed the inspiration layout!!

libbystamps, stampin up, Banners for You, Springtime Impressions Thinlits, Bunch of Banners Framelits, Garden Impressions 6x6 DSP, Soft Sea Foam, TSOT

Wouldn’t you agree? Although, the softness of this photo……looks like vellum is covering the whole thing!!!

I started with a favorite go-to color, Soft Sea Foam and added the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper. This is actually the same sheet showing the two sides!

It’s accented in a Pacific Point flower from part of one of the flowers from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits. Yes, it was fussy cut to get just these flowers! I then backed them with Night of Navy and trimmed them closely. It added so much to the card!

The sentiment is from Banners for You and framelit cut with its coordinating framelit, Bunch of Banners, still a well used set for me!

Wouldn’t this card just make your day? I bet it would!

Check out the other Design Team cards on our blog or our Facebook page. You can also link up your designs on either site.

Hello, Are You In?

Happy Tuesday! Time for a Try Stampin’ on Tuesday new challenge –

Optional Theme : Shades of One Color

Since Stampin’ Up is having a color revamping – this is a perfect time to showcase the new 2018-2020 In Colors!

I am featuring the new Blueberry Bushel here –

libbystamps, stampin up, Accented Blooms, Petal Palette, 2018-2020 In Color 6x6 Assortment, Tailored Tag Punch, TSOT, 2018-2020 In Colors

And the rest of the colors here –

libbystamps, stampin up, Accented Blooms, Petal Palette, 2018-2020 In Color 6x6 Assortment, Tailored Tag Punch, TSOT, 2018-2020 In Colors

Top is Grapefruit Grove and Blueberry Bushel. Lower row is, Lovely Lipstick, Call Me Clover and Pineapple Punch.

The two stamped sentiments are from a new upcoming stamp set, Accented Blooms. They’ll be available June 1st. The stamped dots are from the Petal Palette.

These cards, the Memories & More Cards & Envelopes are a new size too. They are for the Memories & More kits – makes making cards from the kits way easier. They will come in two sizes for the two sizes of cards in the Memories & More kits.

Here, I just cut the card, 3 1/4 x 8 1/2, then scored at 4 1/14. I did these myself because I like the fold at the top of my card. I’ll use the envelopes included in the kit for these cards.

The Designer Series Paper is in the new In Colors. And, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I can see this will be a popular item!

Check out the other lovely Design Team cards on our blog at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday. You can link up a card there, or on our Facebook page if you’d like to join the challenge. It’ll go on for two weeks.

The Designer Series Paper is just fabulous! Here, I cut the flowers out individually for the sketch! When you look closely, you can see that they are pearlized –

libbystamps, stampin up, Love What You Do, Gotta Have It All Bundle, Share What You Love DSP, CCMCThere are three options of which you can see here. The stamp set I used is even in the bundles! Those are such beautiful words!

Saturday, we will be hosting a blog hop using these products so you can get even more ideas! Check back!

All About Neutrals – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features cards containing neutrals.

Who doesn’t love neutrals?? Just about every card ever created uses at least one neutral!

I created this ‘sweet’ card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Sweet Cupcake, Cupcake Cutouts Framelits, CCMCSadly, this is a retiring stamp set and framelits.

This card is fun and whimsical. The icing is layered neutral colors. Just plain fun!

This card would be great for a variety of occasions : someone you’re thinking about, just to say hi, a birthday, to name a few.

I’m sure both (forward) Debbie Henderson, and (back) Mary Brown have some lovely cards!

Stampin’ Up Supplies

  • Stamp Set – Sweet Cupcake, retiring
  • Framelits – Cupcake Cutouts, retiring
  • Card Stock – Whisper White, Smokey Slate, Basic Black, Basic Grey, Crumb Cake
  • Ink – Basic Grey, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip (retiring color)

We Create – March Blog Hop

My third post for today, Three Post Thursday, is another blog hop for We Create.

Our theme is to create a card, then recreate it again, adding elements to ‘step it up’, make it fancy.

I made this card last week for a card challenge –

libbystamps, stampin up, Cool Treats, Layering Circles Framelits, Metallic Enamel Shapes, Sweetheart Embossing Folder, We Create

It was a total hit! I loved it sooo much that I wanted to feature it on my Card Buffet for February. However, the 6×6 pack of Designer Series Paper wasn’t quite enough for a whole class.

The whole card front uses most of a 6×6 page. This is both sides of the paper, flipped.

I came up with this modified idea –

libbystamps, stampin up, Cool Treats, Layering Circles Framelits, Metallic Enamel Shapes, Sweetheart Embossing Folder, We Create

Equally as adorable too! And, I was able to get more cards for the four sheets I had!  Everyone who wanted to make the card was able to! Yay!

The top of the card’s texture is made from the Sweetheart embossing folder. The pie covers the flat heart portion! That texture resembles the polka dots – perfect!

The adorable pie was created using a Sale-a-Bration folder called Basket Weave. You can can get that free from me by placing a qualifying order. I’d be happy to help you with that.

Another nifty tip, the heart was gold and I colored it using a Blends marker! Instant matching!

libbystamps, stampin up, Cool Treats, Layering Circles Framelits, Metallic Enamel Shapes, Sweetheart Embossing Folder, We Create

Not sure which one is cuter! Both I think!

As this is a continuous blog hop, check out the next designer, Kris, on the creative trail!
