Christmas Make’n Takes

Tuesday I showed the swaps from our Team Meeting on Monday. Thursday I shared my swap. And, today, I’m sharing our projects we created!

Nice that we made a variety using different items!

This first swap was great because I don’t have this Snowflake Sentiments Bundle –

libbystamps, stampin up, Snowflake Sentiments, Swirly Snowflakes, Snowflake Sentiments Bundle, Everyday Label Punch

It made for a beautiful card. This intricate die takes patience.

This was a really fun fold for a Christmas card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Carols of Christmas, Hang Your Stocking, Merry Little Christmas

It used some of my favorite Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Mini, Merry Little Christmas. Opened up, it’s really pretty too –

libbystamps, stampin up, Carols of Christmas, Hang Your Stocking, Merry Little Christmas

Sentiment is from the Hang Your Stocking.

The last project was a really quick, easy and very cute idea –

libbystamps, stampin up, Oh What Fun, Tags & Trimmings, Quilted Christmas DSP stack, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Mini Pizza Boxes, Holly EF, Stitched Felt Embellishments

Mini Pizza Box treat holder with a belly band!

Tricks AND Treats

It’s Friday! Time for Color Challenge #10 with stampin’ with libbystamps, my team members.

I have a nice downline, but really only one loves to participate in challenges – that’s ok. Would you like a discount on Stampin’ Up products??? Thinking about becoming a demonstrator? Contact me. Let’s talk.

Back to out challenge. Colors this week are Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist and Peekaboo Peach. As always, we use these colors as a guideline because we don’t always have all the colors.

Carole has intrigued me with her take in the sketch this week –

Carole C. stampin up, stampin with libbystamps

Adorable card, but, look at this box –

Carole C. stampin up, stampin with libbystamps

She didn’t leave a pattern or link to how she created this, but, I’ll ask. It’s perfect for a nice gift or treats!

I decided to go with a Halloween card –

libbystamps, stampin up, stampinwithlibbystamps, Celebrations Duo EF, Washi Label Punch, Spooky Cat

I created a similar card a few months back and decided to create it again using these colors. It’s quick, simple and very cute!!

Sending out Halloween cards it on my list this month. I hope to accomplish this!

Got to run. I told my downline that if they participated in this challenge 10, I’d send them some Stampin’ Up goodies. Just one of the perks of being in my downline!

You know, most of my downline are hobby demonstrators. They are in just for fun and, of course, the discounted products!

Happy Stampin’
Libby

What’s Your Treat?

Quick post today! Had a WONDERFUL SUCCESSFUL Card Buffet this weekend!!! Thanks to ALL of YOU!!

As well as making some awesome cards and treats, I sold some retired items to help a flood victim of hurricane Harvey. Got a few things left and more to list in the upcoming days…..

One of the cute treats that could be made were these –

libbystamps, stampin up, Tiny Treat Boxes, Cat Punch, Halloween Treat Holder, Spooky Cat, Spooky Cat Bundle, Spooky Night DSP, Washi Label Punch I really got the idea from the Holiday Mini catalog!

I tweaked my design a bit and added some retired Baker’s Twine from last Halloween! It worked beautifully because the punched cats were either black or orange. Either side of the Designer Series Paper was used making this an extremely versatile treat. Quick too!

libbystamps, stampin up, Tiny Treat Boxes, Cat Punch, Halloween Treat Holder, Spooky Cat, Spooky Cat Bundle, Spooky Night DSP, Washi Label Punch

I filled it with some candy corn taffy I found. The colors were perfect!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Spooky Cat
  • Bundles – Spooky Cat
  • Card Stock – Very Vanilla
  • Ink – Black Memento, Pumpkin Pie
  • DSP – Spooky Night
  • Punches – Cat, Washi Label (retired)

Sunday Share

I love to share my creativity with people. And, I love it when those I share it with share it back!

I get lots of messages from friends and class attendees that they used this new stamp set or finally used the framelits they got or borrowed. And, I say, send me pictures of things you create, copied or not. They always forget to take a picture…..I get it.

Well, I cherish the ones I do get. I recently got a birthday card from a dear stamper friend, Charlene.

I was in aw of it. See why –

Charlene B

It is simply gorgeous! The tree and the lion are dies. The background is sponged or brayered, I’m not sure!  I just love it!! Great idea to place the tree off the sunset panel! Just fabulous!

So, THANKS Charlene for sending such a beautiful card!

On a side note……I have been trying with this new stamp catalog round to give Stampin’ Up incentive gifts for placing a certain dollar amount order. This month I gave away the new Rhinestones and added a cute reusable tag / topper for the gifts –

These are just singles.

libbystamps, stampin up, Daisy Punch, Label Me Pretty, sunflower, card candy

Here, they are cutely attached to the package –

libbystamps, stampin up, Daisy Punch, Label Me Pretty, sunflower, card candy

The washi tape and the Soft Suede scalloped flower are retired products. Glad to use a tiny pit of my stash to create these.

Best part, these are reusable!

I hope to have more Sunday Shares as I am trying to encourage people to USE their stuff! Don’t let it accumulate without ever touching it! Let me show off your project for you!

Happy Stampin’
Libby

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Shaped Cards

Happy funtastic creative Saturday!

You know it’s time for another round of creative ideas from Create with Connie and Mary!

Our theme this week is a Shaped Card (not rectangle or square).

I had to put my thinking cap on for this one. This is going to be a great hop!

I looked at some of the new framelits that we have. The Coffee Cups framelits looked like a winner for creating a ‘shaped card’.

libbystamps, stampin up, Coffee Cafe, 3/8 Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon, Coffee Cafe Bundle, Coffee Cups  Framelits, gift card holder, CCMC

Adorbs, right!?!?!?!?!?! It’s connected by the lid and/or the top of the cup.

libbystamps, stampin up, Coffee Cafe, 3/8 Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon, Coffee Cafe Bundle, Coffee Cups  Framelits, gift card holder, CCMC

I stamped two cups, one for the front, one for the inside. They are connected by the ‘plastic’ top that was folded.

The words were masked off and die cut to create the outside and inside sentiment bands.

I even created a cute little envelope for it –

libbystamps, stampin up, Coffee Cafe, 3/8 Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon, Coffee Cafe Bundle, Coffee Cups  Framelits, gift card holder, CCMC

Totally closed. Remember, this is a small card.

libbystamps, stampin up, Coffee Cafe, 3/8 Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon, Coffee Cafe Bundle, Coffee Cups  Framelits, gift card holder, CCMC

Untied and splayed open. The card shows nicely!

libbystamps, stampin up, Coffee Cafe, 3/8 Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon, Coffee Cafe Bundle, Coffee Cups  Framelits, gift card holder, CCMC….and, SURPRISE! It holds a gift card too!

The envelope is actually one of Stampin’ Up’s envelopes from the Notecards & Envelope sets. I scored it. Removed the upper side flaps. Folded sides in. Punched 1/2 partial circle on the sides. Ran ribbon through. Done. . . . .in a nutshell anyway!

You’ll be soo excited to see what the other Design Team members created with our Shaped themed cards blog hop this week!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Coffee Cafe
  • Framelits – Coffee Cups
  • Bundles – Coffee Cafe
  • Card Stock – Powder Pink, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Vellum
  • Ink – Powder Pink, Crumb, Chocolate Chip
  • Punches – 1/2 Circle
  • Other – 3/8 Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon, Notecards & Envelopes

 CREATE WITH CONNIE AND MARY

Just a Note

Today in the blogging world, I have a busy day! This is the first of three posts for me! Three post Thursday!

I’ll start off with a card for Create with Connie and Mary.

We have a new set of challenges for the month of June since the new Stampin Up catalog just came out!!! All the pictures are from the new catalog and will be what we create from. Here is this weeks inspirational picture –

I had to pull out my book to examine this picture a little more closely.

It appeared to be a gift card holder. So that is what I created –

libbystamps, stampin up, Flourishing Phrases, Flourish Thinlits, Layering Ovals Collection, Tranquil Tide, CCMC, gift card holder, catalog CASE

I went with a simple single, new favorite color, Tranquil Tide. It paired nicely with the Flourish Thinlits and Flourishing Phrases stamp set.

libbystamps, stampin up, Flourishing Phrases, Flourish Thinlits, Layering Ovals Collection, Tranquil Tide, CCMC, gift card holder, catalog CASE

I initially placed the set of scrolling vines down and adhered that whole panel to the card front. After I tied the gold ribbon on the side, I added another set of scrolling vines on top of the other ones and the ribbon. The card is still removable without undoing the ribbon. Clever, really.

It’s very pretty and serene. It’d be great to receive a note like this with a gift card in it!

The other Design Team members created some great cards too. Some used the sketch. Some used the colors. Check them out too!

You can create a card too and link it up on our Facebook page. We’d love for you to join us!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Flourishing Phrases
  • Framelits – Flourish Thinlits, Layering Ovals Collection
  • Card Stock – Very Vanilla, Tranquil Tide
  • Ink – Tranquil Tide
  • Other – 5/8 Gold Satin Ribbon (retired)
Happy Stampin’
Libby

What’s in Your Pocket?

Every other Tuesday is Try Stampin’ on Tuesday day for me!

Our layout this week –

Challenge #323. Optional Theme : Pretty as a Picture

I love the layout but got hung up on the ‘Pretty as a Picture’ theme. I created this without the picture theme –

libbystamps, stampin up, Designer Tin of Cards, Party Animal DSP

A brightly designed card using some soon-to-retire Designer Series Paper called, Party Animal!

The cool feature about the front of this card is this nifty pocket that has a pullout! Which still leaves a really nice design –

libbystamps, stampin up, Designer Tin of Cards, Party Animal DSP

You can add a gift card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Designer Tin of Cards, Party Animal DSPYes, Christmas was the only one I could find for demonstrator purposes!

libbystamps, stampin up, Designer Tin of Cards, Party Animal DSP

See how nicely it fits into the front panel?

I love how this turned out! The colors are great. The patterns are wonderful. It’s a unique take on the design we were challenged with!

Want to see how the other designers used this sketch? Check them out on our blog or on our Facebook page as well. You can also link up a card using either place!

Happy Stampin’
