Time for Tea

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge!

We’ve been ‘CASEing’ the new Stampin’ Up catalog! Here is our latest inspiration –

Simply an adorable layout!

I decided to create a card using all one color : Blueberry Bushel, one of the new In-Colors. And, I used a new bundle, Time for Tea –

libbystamps, stampin up, Time for Tea, Spot of Tea Framelits, Time for Tea Bundle, In-Color 2018-2020 6x6, Subtle Dynamic EF, CCMC

Reminds me of Delft Blue or Blue Willow patterns with the intense blue colors.

I stamped the teacup and that top panel with the sentiment. The stripes are Designer Series Paper and the other floral pattern was stamped.

Notice the texture of the Blueberry Bushel card stock? It’s a new embossing folder, Subtle Dynamic. When we used to have textured card stock, that’s what it resembles. I will get lots of use from this one! I can tell already!

We all had fun with this inspiration this week. See all the Design Team creations at the Create with Connie and Mary blog. If you want to try designing a card, do so and link it up on our Facebook page. We’d love to see what you make!

Don’t Box Me In – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Happy Saturday my blogging friends! Time for a Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features boxes!

Handmade boxes are the best because you can customize them to just about any size you need. And, with all the fabulous Designer Series Papers Stampin’ Up has – you can’t go wrong!

I made this darling 3 x 3 box with a peachy top –

libbystamps, stampin up, Beautiful Bouquet, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Banner Triple Punch,Gold 3/8 Metallic Edge Ribbon, CCMCWith an adorable tag to match –

libbystamps, stampin up, Beautiful Bouquet, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Banner Triple Punch,Gold 3/8 Metallic Edge Ribbon, CCMCI started with a Very Vanilla base of 7 x 7. Scored at 2 inches on all four sides. Make cuts and assemble, creating a basic open box.

The lid is (just retired) Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper cut at 6 x 6.

It is has two scores lines on all four sides. To make a snug fit on the lid, whatever your base is made of, take a straight scrap of the same card stock, fold it in half and place it on the left side of your Simply Scored to move the paper slightly away from the left side. Score at 1/2, and 1 1/2. You will cut away a few of the extra pieces, making this also a basic ‘box’ that is used as the lid.

I decorated the box when it was done! I cut a couple of peaches from the paper and stamped the perfect image from Beautiful Bouquet!

I am so excited to see what Debbie Henderson, and Mary Brown created!

Hippity Hoppy Easter Favor – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Happy Create with Connie and Mary blog hop day!

Our theme this week features Easter favors.

Perfect, as I made these sweet little Easter bunny treats for my co-workers and Card Buffet attendees on Sunday.

libbystamps, stampin up, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Petals & More Framelits, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Classic Label Punch, Leaf Punch, Tutti-frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins, CCMC, Easter treats

Aren’t these just too sweet? I originally saw these from a European demonstrator. I modified them to fit American nugget chocolates.

Super, super easy!

libbystamps, stampin up, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Petals & More Framelits, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Classic Label Punch, Leaf Punch, Tutti-frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins, CCMC, Easter treats

  • Bunny is a strip of designer series paper, 1 x 12. Score at 2, 5 1/4, 6 3/4 and 10. Nugget wrap is 1 x 3.
  • Use Tear & Tape on the ends, folding in, towards the center on the ends.
  • The two center score lines, fold towards each other.
  • On one of the ends, doesn’t matter which one, where the edge is adhered, apply another strip of Tear & Tape.
  • Stand bunny up, and adhere two ears together.
  • Wrap nugget and insert in bunny base.
  • Decorate. I used the Silver Baker’s Twine from the Spring mini to tie around the ears. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes punches with the Classic Label Punch. Pink flower is from the Petals & More atop the trimmed Leaf Punch

The side view shows the beautiful colors of the paper –

It took way longer to write out the directions than it did to whip up a batch of these! it’s a nice favor because you can use any kind of designer series or patterned paper you have on hand. Great for those scrap strips too!

I am so excited to go forward to Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown to see their Easter treats! I might be making even more treats for friends!!!

Stampin’ Up Supplies

  • Framelits – Petals & More (flower)
  • Card Stock – Whisper White
  • Ink – Basic Grey

..Best..Friend..Ever…

Happy Thursday!

I have an adorable card designed for our new color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary –

I have been itching to play with the new Apron of Love bundle. So, I finally thought these colors were perfect to design with!

libbystamps, stampin up, Apron of Love, Yay You, Apron Builder framelits, Apron of Love Bundle, Bubbles & Fizz DSP, Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes, CCMCI started by cutting the apron from the Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper, Bubbles & Fizz.

I used the hostess set, Yay You, to stamp the hearts on either side of the strip of Lemon Lime Twist (it’s part of a card from the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes, a free Sale-a-Bration item).

The trim along the bottom of the apron is the same as the Calypso Coral trim along the side of the Lemon Lime Twist strip. It’s one of the framelits included in the set! So are the cute little utensils and the apron pocket! This set is just adorable!

Check out the other Design team cards on our blog. You can show off your creations on our Facebook page this week!

Favorite New Framelits – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Hello my stampin’ friends! Thank you for joining me and the Create with Connie and Mary blog hop team today!

We have great projects today! Our theme this week is Favorite New Framelits.

Tough for me! I have two I really like –

libbystamps, stampin up, CCMC, Lots to Love Box Framelits, Petal Palette, Petal Palette Bundle, Petals & More Thinlits, Tutti-frutti Cards & Envelopes

Soooooo, I went with both!!!

First, the black stems are from the Petals & More Thinlits – SO many nice dies in this set! I cut two of these and flipped the one over the left heart.

Speaking of hearts, The gold hearts are the remains of last weeks card as I had it on my Card Buffet. (I keep these sorts of scraps!) It’s the Lots to Love Box Framelits.

All these elements, I placed on one of the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes available from Sale-a-Bration this year.

And, notice how the envelope is lined and the insides of the hearts match? Well, I used the inside of one of the envelopes for this. Additionally, the blue strip on the bottom of the card is the outside of the envelope!!

The red heart is a Sharpie colored Metallic Enamel Shape that is the perfect finishing touch for this card! Ties in the red sentiment.

Head forward to Debbie Henderson and see what her favorite framelit is, and go back to Mary Brown to see hers. I know you’ll be inspired by all of us!!

Favorite New Designer Series Paper – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Happy Saturday! Time for a Create with Connie and Mary blog hop!

Our theme this week is Favorite New Designer Series Paper.

The catalog is relatively new for and I haven’t had the opportunity to play around with all the Designer Series Papers. And, if you know me, you know I will just keep playing with the same thing!

I really do like this Sweet Soiree Designer Series Paper. I love the shiny silver accent in the design.

libbystamps, stampin up, Lovely Wishes, Layering Circles, Sweet Soiree DSP, Silver 3/8 Metallic Edge Ribbon, CCMC

I’m a little behind the times as these ‘Box in a Card’ cards were all the rage around Christmas. I decided this beautiful paper would be lovely to showcase this style of card!

libbystamps, stampin up, Lovely Wishes, Layering Circles, Sweet Soiree DSP, Silver 3/8 Metallic Edge Ribbon, CCMC

This particular pattern is cool because it’s the same pattern, one with a Berry Burst base, the other a Whisper White base. It made a nice coordination here.

I watched several videos and tutorials how to create this card. In the end, I did my own thing with the cut out in the card to hold the box. The box was like all that I saw, a 6×6 piece of paper, scored at 2″ all around. Quite easy I must say.

Go forward to Debbie Henderson, and see what her favorite Designer Series Paper, DSP, is. Go back to Mary Brown. I know you’ll be inspired by her favorite DSP too!

Epic Celebration

Happy to be inspired for Create with Connie and Mary and our new Thursday challenge –

This is a wonderful, fresh, bright color scheme to design with!

I decided to play with a Sale-a-Bration set and create a gift card holder –

libbystamps, stampin up, CCMC, Epic Celebrations, Silver 1/8" Ribbon. 2018 Occasions, 2018 Sale-a-Bration

Random stamped sneakers in the challenge colors. Isn’t this cute! I added the silver ribbon and the Silver Glimmer paper for some added pop!

See the card opened –

libbystamps, stampin up, CCMC, Epic Celebrations, Silver 1/8" Ribbon. 2018 Occasions, 2018 Sale-a-Bration

I started off with a standard size card, 4 1/4 x 11, and scored it at 1 1/2 and 7. Folded it up and down. Gift card fits where my business card is!

You try your hand at these colors too! Design a card and link it up on our Facebook page!
