Favorite New Catalog Bundle – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Saturday Create with Connie and Mary blog hop!

Our theme this week features our Favorite New Catalog Bundle!

Perfect chance to play with some wonderful new stuff. I’ve been having way too much fun with the Broadway Bound Suite. Time to give some other products some love.

How about the Bouquet Blooms?

It’s a really interesting set because the pieces interlock together!

Looking into the inside of the card, you can see it more apparent as it opens.

The inside of the card has the detailing base that gets decorated on the outside.

Going back to the card front, I cut additional Call Me Clover leaves and trimmed them to place over the pink ones cut into the card front.

I also stamped and framelit cut several flowers in Pineapple Punch. I placed one over the pink flower also cut into the card front. The others were placed randomly on the card front.

I tucked one aditional leaf behind the flowers and added the oval sentiment.

To create this lovely card, you start with a 5 x 9 piece of card stock. The framelits line up at the ends to cut the detailing. They even leave a tick line so you know where to score to fold the card.

The finished card is 3 1/2 x 5. Perfect for an envelope from our Note Card & Envelopes or make one using the Envelope Punch Board.

I’m anxious to see what everyone, including Debbie Henderson, and Mary Brown have chosen as their favorite new catalog bundles! I know we will both be inspired to see all of the projects on the hop!

Hooray, Broadway Bound

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge!

We’ve been ‘CASEing’ the new Stampin’ Up catalog! Today we are using an image from page 5 –

I love the simple design of this image! I decided to play with the Broadway Bound Suite of products again to create this –

libbystamps, stampin up, Broadway Birthday, Broadway Lights Framelits, Broadway Birthday Bundle, Broadway Bound  DSP, CCMC

Isn’t this simply fun???? I love it!

The ‘HOORAY’ stamped image should be solid, but, sometimes it doesn’t stamp perfectly. And, that’s ok! Just GO with it!

I’ll be using this card at my Open House on the 23rd – I like my customers to see these kind of imperfections. Because, its totally ok!

There are some wonderful takes on this catalog inspiration on our Create with Connie and Mary blog. Check them out.

Want to play around with the sketch yourself? Please do! Link it up on our Facebook page!

Favorite New In Color – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Thank you for join me today and the Create with Connie and Mary blog hop!

Our theme this week features Favorite New In-Color.

Ok. Tough one. They are all easily a favorite!!

Thursday, I featured a card with tones close to Lovely Lipstick. So, today, shades of green for the new In-Color, Call Me Clover.

I randomly stamped the small and large leaves in Call Me Clover on Soft Sea Foam, also a new color. I inked them once and stamped them up to three times before inking them up again. Made for the softer colors.

The framelit cut leaves are really cool as you cut the outer shape, then emboss the leaf pattern in the center. Either order works. I can’t wait to play with these more!

Well, ‘you are wonderful’ for stopping by!

I am curious to see what the others favorite colors are! Go forward to Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown.

Abstract Background – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Whew. June 2nd! Today, we have the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features Abstract Backgrounds

This got me to thinking and looking and going through my stamp sets. Abstract? Well, decided to play with an old favorite, Swirly Bird. I used a single image stamp to create this –

libbystamps. stampin up,

It’s the sails to create a sailboat! I stamped them randomly around one another. I love the finished design!

I did play around with the coordinating colors. Way too many great new ones to choose from! Ultimately, I used a base of Smokey Slate, layers of Basic Grey and the new Granny Apple Green!

It is just a cool abstract card! I like is that its perfect for any gender!

I bet Debbie Henderson, and Mary Brown have some awesome abstract designs today! They always have wonderful work!

Welcome to the Beach

Happy Thursday. Ready for summer? I’m not sure I’m ready for the hot temperatures, but I am ready for a new challenge with Create with Connie and Mary!

Our new challenge for the week –

Funny thing, I went with a summer theme –

libbystamps, stampin up,

Doesn’t this make you want to just sit on the beach and relax? It does me!

I started with a Very Vanilla base.

My ‘sand’ is Sahara Sand. The water is a welcome back color, Pool Party. Both were torn.

The beach chair is Cherry Cobbler.

Interesting, the background that these are placed on is from the May Paper Pumpkin kit. It’s a pretty shade of grey – blue. Perfect for a sky!

Check out the other Design Team cards from Create with Connie and Mary. They are awesome!

Bold & Bright Colors – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Happy holiday weekend! Thanks for taking time out for the Create with Connie and Mary blog hop!

Our theme this week features Bold & Bright Colors.

This is so fun since Stampin’ Up is introducing new colors officially June 1st!

I decided to mix old with new for this summerish beauty –

libbystamps, stampin up, Abstract Impressions, Petal Burst EF, Daisy Punch, Petal Pair Embossing Folder, Petal Burst Embossing Folder, CCMC

The newest color on here is Pineapple Punch, the bright yellow! Followed by Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay for some added interest.

These colors are definitely bright, bold and eye-catching!

The embossed panels added some dimension and interest to the card.

I’ll be featuring this card on my card Buffet on Sunday!

Go forward to see the bright fun Debbie Henderson has to offer, and back to Mary Brown’s inspirational color choice. I know you’ll be inspired by all the Design Team!

Serenade Thank You

Happy Thursday. We have new colors to inspire you at Create with Connie and Mary.

Our new challenge for the week –

I had lots of fun creating this card for the challenge –

libbystamps, stampin up, Southern Serenade, 1 1/4 Circle Punch, CCMC, Blends

I hadn’t played with this Southern Serenade stamp yet – and so happy it’ll be in the next catalog!

I stamped the flower image in Basic Grey first. I used an Aqua Painter and ink pads to color the leaves and the flowers. After that dried, I took the Light Pool Party Blends and went around the image to so soften it. So pretty!

I finished off the card with Baker’s Twine and the sentiment stamped in Night of Navy also outlined in the Blends.

I think this Light Pool Party Blends is my favorite new tool!

The other Deign Team created some beautiful cards with these colors! Check them out at Create with Connie and Mary. You can also show what you did with these colors on our Facebook page! We’d love to see your creations!
