Mailable Christmas Card – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is a Mailable Christmas cards.

I’d like to say, I hope all my cards are mailable, lol! But, for this, I did create a card with minimal height –

libbystamps, stampin up, Pinning for Plaid, Quilt Builder, Quilted Christmas 6x6 DSP, CCMC

It sure has the WOW factor even though it’s simply done.

libbystamps, stampin up, Pinning for Plaid, Quilt Builder, Quilted Christmas 6x6 DSP, CCMC

I used a piece of the Quilted Christmas 6×6 Designer Series paper for this inside! It was already printed with the quilt – perfect for this quick and elegant mailable card!

I used the stamp from the October Paper Pumpkin. It was just the right size to place under the quilt cut out.

I am excited to see the other mailable cards that our Design Team has created! Aren’t you? Go forward to Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown. I know you’ll be inspired! Perhaps you might even get to working on your Christmas cards this holiday weekend!

Stampin’ Up Supplies

  • Framelits – Quilt Builder
  • Card Stock – Whisper White
  • Ink – Black Memento
  • DSP – Quilted Christmas

OnStage Card Shares

This past weekend, I went to Stampin’ Up’s convention, OnStage. I went this year for two reasons :

One. I’ve been a Stampin’ Up demonstrator for 10 years (as of September 5th) and you get to do that fun walk across the stage.

Two. I finally have advanced in title after all these years and hard work.

I was pretty excited! Made some new friends, saw some old friends, and meet online friends (fellow Design Team members) in person!

I participated in an organized SWAP for SUDSOL and made this card –

libbystamps, stampin up,

Well, one I glue wrong and it became this –

libbystamps, stampin up,

With the leftover pieces, I made this for general swaps –

libbystamps, stampin up,

Both card were so pretty and made others happy and eager to trade! Photos were taken in the hotel on the bed!!! Lol!

Got to get working on classes for this upcoming weekend!

Happy Stampin’

Mitten Mitten

Happy Thursday! Welcome to a Create with Connie and Mary new sketch challenge.

Today we have some beautiful colors to inspire you –

When I looked at these colors, I had thoughts of warmth and softness. So that is what I translated onto my card –

libbystamps, stampin up, SSmitten Mittens, Colorful Seasons, Smitten Mittens Bundle, Many Mittens, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Layering Circles Framelits, CCMC

Don’t these look like really soft cozy mittens? Amazing how you can invoke this in a card design!

To start off, I used the Smitten Mittens bundle to create this card. I stamped the mittens and trim on a sheet from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper (it’s actually the same sheet, just front and back!). Added the sentiment and stamped the snowflakes for a little dimension.

When it was finished, I felt it needed a little something, so I added the baker’s twine to the mitten edges.

Everyone on the Create with Connie and Mary Design team create some lovely cards! Go check them out.

When we inspire you, you can link up you card on our Facebook page!

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Card Stock – Pool Party, Whisper White
  • Ink – Night of Navy, Pool Party, Powder Pink

Oh, Joy!

Quick post to start you week off creatively!

Instead of designing for one of my teams I’m on – I’m playing with someone else’s challenge!

Today, it’s for a long time love of mine, Freshly Made Sketches.

,

They always have clean, simple designs that are very easy to create with. I was drawn to this one.

libbystamps, stampin up, Boxwood Wreaths Embellishments, Quilted Christmas 1/4 Ribbon, FMS311

I went with colors of red and green. Perhaps Christmas colors, but the sentiment could evoke really anything! Of course, adding the wreath and the ribbon makes this totally Christmas!

libbystamps, stampin up, Boxwood Wreaths Embellishments, Quilted Christmas 1/4 Ribbon, FMS311

The up close of this mini wreath because it sooo sweet! A great addition to the card, don’t you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

  • Framelits – Stitched Shapes
  • Card Stock – Real Red
  • Ink – Real Red, Whisper White

Glimmery Christmas Greetings

Hi Thursday friends! Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

What an awesome layout to get inspired by! A great starting!

I went with a Christmas themed card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Merry Patterns, Card Front Builder Thinlits, Merry Music Specialty DSP, Classic Label Punch, Winter Wonder EF, CCMC

Photographing this just does not do it justice!

I started by flipping over the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper and framelit cutting the trees. I did this to have the trees angled like this. It matched the sketch a little better. I placed that on top of the Silver Glimmer Paper. It’s reversed of what we normally would do.

libbystamps, stampin up, Merry Patterns, Card Front Builder Thinlits, Merry Music Specialty DSP, Classic Label Punch, Winter Wonder EF, CCMC

The other elements I just built after I created the focal point. I like the size of this sentiment from Merry Patterns. It fit the card nicely.

Everyone had a different take on our new sketch this week. Check out the other Design Team cards at Create with Connie and Mary. Link up your cards from the sketch on our Facebook page.

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

Watercooler Wednesday 142 – Charlotte’s All About Christmas Challenge

Hello Watercooler Wednesday fans! Time for a new weekly challenge!

Here is our newest challenge hosted by Charlotte

Yep, Christmas! Great time to get started on those ideas –now!

I absolutely loved the sketch I used yesterday and decided to use it again today for this elegant card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Night in Bethlehem, Night in Bethlehem Bundle, Eastern Palace Specialty, WWC

It’s just so pretty! And, I used non-Christmas papers and colors too! Well, I guess the gold is used quite a bit….. the stamp set is from the Holiday Mini, Night in Bethlehem, along with the coordinating dies, Bethlehem Edgelits.

This came together in a snap! Starts with a great theme and sketch!

Check out the other Design Team members at Watercooler Wednesday and play along with us!

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Night in Bethlehem
  • Framelits – Bethlehem Edgelits, Layering Circles
  • Bundles – Night in Bethlehem
  • Card Stock – Very Vanilla, Dapper Denim, Gold Foil
  • Ink – Night of Navy
  • DSP – Eastern Palace Specialty

Christmas Make’n Takes

Tuesday I showed the swaps from our Team Meeting on Monday. Thursday I shared my swap. And, today, I’m sharing our projects we created!

Nice that we made a variety using different items!

This first swap was great because I don’t have this Snowflake Sentiments Bundle –

libbystamps, stampin up, Snowflake Sentiments, Swirly Snowflakes, Snowflake Sentiments Bundle, Everyday Label Punch

It made for a beautiful card. This intricate die takes patience.

This was a really fun fold for a Christmas card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Carols of Christmas, Hang Your Stocking, Merry Little Christmas

It used some of my favorite Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Mini, Merry Little Christmas. Opened up, it’s really pretty too –

libbystamps, stampin up, Carols of Christmas, Hang Your Stocking, Merry Little Christmas

Sentiment is from the Hang Your Stocking.

The last project was a really quick, easy and very cute idea –

libbystamps, stampin up, Oh What Fun, Tags & Trimmings, Quilted Christmas DSP stack, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Mini Pizza Boxes, Holly EF, Stitched Felt Embellishments

Mini Pizza Box treat holder with a belly band!

libbystamps, stampin up, Oh What Fun, Tags & Trimmings, Quilted Christmas DSP stack, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Mini Pizza Boxes, Holly EF, Stitched Felt Embellishments

Of course, a little inside decor too!

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Snowflake Sentiments, Carols of Christmas, Hang Your Stocking, Oh What Fun, Tags & Trimmings
  • Framelits – Swirly Snowflakes, Stitched Shapes Framelits
