Saying Goodbye to Sale-a-bration – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary blog hop! And, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Our theme this week is saying goodbye to Sale-a-Bration. It’ll be ending at the end of March.

There are sooo many wonderful Sale-a-Bration products this year. Additional items were added earlier in the week too. So, choosing what to create with – too many choices!

I choose a newly added item, the Sweet Cake framelits –

libbystamps, stampin up, Eclectic Expressions, Sweet Cake Framelits, CCMC, SAB, Sale-a-bration 2018

It’s a simple card, beautiful nonetheless! These flowers are the star of the show! I love the center heart detailing! Did you even notice that? I only adhered a tiny bit of each flower so they are sticking out in random areas.

The simple stamped image is also from a Sale-a-Bration set, Eclectic Expressions.

If you are wondering, there is a coordinating stamp set available for purchase to these framelits too!

Go forward to see Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown and their Sale-a-Bration goodbye creations. I know you’ll want them all!

Here is the sketch to design by using the theme of ‘party’ –

Here is my card for some inspiration –

libbystamps, stampin up, Celebrate You Thinlits, Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP, Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit, CCMC, 2018 Sale-a-Bration, Sale-A-Bration, SAB

Definitely got the party theme going here! This party has no stamping as I used the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit for the cake and the numbers!

The Designer Series Paper is also a coordinating product, the Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP. This card came together soo quick! I added the framelit cut ‘celebrate’ in Silver Foil which, bonus, is a Sale-a-bration freebie!

So. Pull out your craft stuff and create a card for our 500th Challenge! Remember, there will be blog candy! Link up your cards on our Create with Connie and Mary blog this week. Looking forward to seeing you there!

We Create – March Blog Hop

My third post for today, Three Post Thursday, is another blog hop for We Create.

Our theme is to create a card, then recreate it again, adding elements to ‘step it up’, make it fancy.

I made this card last week for a card challenge –

libbystamps, stampin up, Cool Treats, Layering Circles Framelits, Metallic Enamel Shapes, Sweetheart Embossing Folder, We Create

It was a total hit! I loved it sooo much that I wanted to feature it on my Card Buffet for February. However, the 6×6 pack of Designer Series Paper wasn’t quite enough for a whole class.

The whole card front uses most of a 6×6 page. This is both sides of the paper, flipped.

I came up with this modified idea –

libbystamps, stampin up, Cool Treats, Layering Circles Framelits, Metallic Enamel Shapes, Sweetheart Embossing Folder, We Create

Equally as adorable too! And, I was able to get more cards for the four sheets I had!  Everyone who wanted to make the card was able to! Yay!

The top of the card’s texture is made from the Sweetheart embossing folder. The pie covers the flat heart portion! That texture resembles the polka dots – perfect!

The adorable pie was created using a Sale-a-Bration folder called Basket Weave. You can can get that free from me by placing a qualifying order. I’d be happy to help you with that.

Another nifty tip, the heart was gold and I colored it using a Blends marker! Instant matching!

libbystamps, stampin up, Cool Treats, Layering Circles Framelits, Metallic Enamel Shapes, Sweetheart Embossing Folder, We Create

Not sure which one is cuter! Both I think!

As this is a continuous blog hop, check out the next designer, Kris, on the creative trail!

Featuring Animals – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Thanks for joining me today for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is cards Featuring Animals.

Animals. Let me think about this one……..I have several stamp sets that have animals in them. I had a hard time deciding which to use.

I haven’t created much with this Sale-a-Bration set, Beautiful Peacock. It’s really pretty. Admittedly, I’m challenged at lining it up. I figured out a way around that –

libbystamps, stampin up, Beautiful Peacock, Whisper White 1/4 Organza Ribbon, Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, CCMC

I stamped the body separate and cut it out! Then I could easily place it over the plumage! Much easier for me!

I went with shades of grey because I hadn’t seen this combination before. Only the sentiment is in black! It makes a stunningly, beautiful card!

Check out Debbie Henderson, and Mary Brown. I know you’ll be inspired by their cards featuring animals!

Bubble Over

Hi my stampin’ friends! Time for a new inspirational challenge from Create with Connie and Mary!

This is our new layout for inspiration this week –

This is a fun one!!

I decided to play with the fun Bubble Over Bundle to create this –

libbystamps, stampin up, Bubble Over, Bottles & Bubbles Framelits, Bubble Over Bundle, Bubbles & Fizz DSP, Banner Triple, Silver Baker's Twine, CCMC, Sale-a-Bration, SAB

Initially, my card was square like the inspiration. These bottles are pretty generous in size, so I increased the hight of my card to a standard card. These are the smaller bottles too!

I can’t wait to give this card out. It’s simply fun!

The other Design Team members created some wonderful cards too. Check them out on our blog.

Hopefully, we will inspire you! Upload your creations using the sketch on our Facebook page.

Cheers, A Birthday Toast

Happy day after Valentine’s Day!

Sharing a card designed for Create with Connie and Mary today!

We have a new color challenge for the week –

Lovely colors! Greens. My favorite!

I went with a birthday card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Birthday Wit, Mixed Drinks, Bubbles & Fizz DSP, CCMC

It’d be great for any adult friends celebrating! And, for any birthdays around St. Patrick’s Day too! Lol, the green beer!

I used the Birthday Wit from the 2018 Occasions Mini to stamp the words. Mixed Drinks from the regular Stampin’ Up catalog for the – drinks! I did fussy cut the drinks!

This is an adorable quick card and cute card!

The other Design Team members created some wonderful cards using these colors too! Check them out here. Want to create a card and join our challenge? You can do that here. Looking forward to seeing your creations!

Happy Birthday, Bows

Happy Thursday! I’m happy to be creating for Create with Connie and Mary today!

Every Thursday we have a new challenge! Here is our latest –

Great starting point!

And, I’m excited to play with new stuff to create this –

libbystamps, stampin up, Picture Perfect Birthday, Picture Perfect Party 6x6 DSP, CCMC

Isn’t this fun? The bows are stamped twice. The shadows are stamped in full ink. The main part of the bow is stamped off then stamped. I then fussy cut them out. It goes very quick!

The sentiment, I stamped multiple times. I like sort of mimicking the dots in the Designer Series Paper.

This was really an easy card to create! Fun too! I can not wait to send it out!

You should check out the Design Team cards here. If you’d like to join our challenge, you can do so here.

  • Card Stock – Lemon Lime Twist,
  • Ink – Black Memento, Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay, Berry Burst
