Welcome to the Beach

Happy Thursday. Ready for summer? I’m not sure I’m ready for the hot temperatures, but I am ready for a new challenge with Create with Connie and Mary!

Our new challenge for the week –

Funny thing, I went with a summer theme –

libbystamps, stampin up,

Doesn’t this make you want to just sit on the beach and relax? It does me!

I started with a Very Vanilla base.

My ‘sand’ is Sahara Sand. The water is a welcome back color, Pool Party. Both were torn.

The beach chair is Cherry Cobbler.

Interesting, the background that these are placed on is from the May Paper Pumpkin kit. It’s a pretty shade of grey – blue. Perfect for a sky!

Check out the other Design Team cards from Create with Connie and Mary. They are awesome!

Feeling inspired to created using out inspiration layout? Let us know on our Facebook page. We’d love to see your creations!

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Banners for You, High Tide (birds)
  • Framelits – Bunch of Banners, Seasonal Layers
  • Card Stock – Very Vanilla, Sahara Sans, Soft Sky, Cherry Cobbler
  • Ink – Crumb Cake, Smokey Slate (birds)

Favorite Retiring Stamp Set/Bundle – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Hello my Saturday friends! Time for our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features our Favorite Retiring Bundle.

I have featured several of my favorite retiring stamp sets and bundles – there are just soo many to love!

This time I went with a bundle/suite that I will really miss –

libbystamps, stampin up, Birthday Delivery, Birthday Delivery Bundle, Lots of Labels Framelits, Birthday Friends Framelits, Birthday Memories DSP, CCMC

The Birthday Memories Suite or the Birthday Delivery Bundle. All these products are just adorable! I love how the paper has all these images that can be framelit cut with the coordinating framelits! Requires minimal stamping if you desire. Also, makes creating a card like this so easy! Not to mention stinkin’ cute!

Another great item retiring on my card – the Lots of Labels framelits. I will really miss those. I used them all the time. Sadly, they have already sold out. Guess something equally as cool will be introduced!

I bet Debbie Henderson, and Mary Brown and the rest of the blog hop members will have some really must buy ideas. I can’t wait!

Stampin’ Up Supplies

  • Stamp Set – Birthday Delivery
  • Framelits – Birthday Friends, Lots of Labels
  • Bundles – Birthday Delivery
  • Card Stock – Soft Sky
  • Ink – Black Memento
  • DSP – Birthday Memories

Don’t Box Me In – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Happy Saturday my blogging friends! Time for a Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features boxes!

Handmade boxes are the best because you can customize them to just about any size you need. And, with all the fabulous Designer Series Papers Stampin’ Up has – you can’t go wrong!

I made this darling 3 x 3 box with a peachy top –

libbystamps, stampin up, Beautiful Bouquet, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Banner Triple Punch,Gold 3/8 Metallic Edge Ribbon, CCMCWith an adorable tag to match –

libbystamps, stampin up, Beautiful Bouquet, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Banner Triple Punch,Gold 3/8 Metallic Edge Ribbon, CCMCI started with a Very Vanilla base of 7 x 7. Scored at 2 inches on all four sides. Make cuts and assemble, creating a basic open box.

The lid is (just retired) Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper cut at 6 x 6.

It is has two scores lines on all four sides. To make a snug fit on the lid, whatever your base is made of, take a straight scrap of the same card stock, fold it in half and place it on the left side of your Simply Scored to move the paper slightly away from the left side. Score at 1/2, and 1 1/2. You will cut away a few of the extra pieces, making this also a basic ‘box’ that is used as the lid.

I decorated the box when it was done! I cut a couple of peaches from the paper and stamped the perfect image from Beautiful Bouquet!

I am so excited to see what Debbie Henderson, and Mary Brown created!

Stampin’ Up Supplies

  • Stamp Set – Beautiful Bouquet
  • Card Stock – Very Vanilla
  • Ink – Tranquil Tide
  • DSP – Whole Lot of Lovely (just retired)

Thank You, Thank you, thank you

Hello my Thursday friends!

You know its time for a Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

This week, we have a new layout –

Took me no time to pull out some soon to retire Stampin’ Up items to create this –

libbystamps, stampin up, Rose Wonder, Lots of Labels Framelits, Eclectic Layers Thinlits, Pick a Pattern DSP

Black and white are always a classic!

I started with creating my focal element, using the Lots of Labels Framelits. The flowers and leaves are from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits. I will so miss both these versatile items!

As I adhered the while flower to the black base, I only added Tombow glue to the center of the flower so it stands away from the base.

The ‘thank you’ is from, also retiring stamp set, Rose Wonder. I inked it up and stamped it three times, not reapplying ink. (Looks like my stamp has some lint on it…..it happens!)

Everything was placed on a piece of Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper, which was adhered to a Whisper White card base.

Quick. Easy. Elegant.

Check out the other Design Team cards at Create with Connie and Mary. I am sure you’ll be inspired! If you’d like to add a card to our challenge, you can do so on our Facebook page.

We Create – Last Chance Blog Hop

Hello stampers! Have you seen all items that Stampin’ Up is retiring? Sooo many awesome products!

We Create decided to have an impromptu blog hop!

Obviously, the theme is retiring products!

I had a hard time deciding just what to use……I went with a minimally stamped card using framelits!

libbystamps, stampin up, Sprinkles of Life, Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, Lovely Words Thinlits, Layering Ovals Framelits, Pick a Pattern DSP, Basic Black Bakers Twine, We Create

Isn’t this just the sweetest?!?!

After I framelit cut the word ‘friend’, I found this tiny ‘happy birthday’ from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set. Since its photopolymer, its pliable, which made it easy to curve the image. I thought this was a fun addition to the oval ‘friend’. You agree?

libbystamps, stampin up, Sprinkles of Life, Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, Lovely Words Thinlits, Layering Ovals Framelits, Pick a Pattern DSP, Basic Black Bakers Twine, We Create

The inside is a pullout card that’d be perfect for a gift card!

I’m really sad to see these products retire. I wonder what the other designers are showcasing??? Check them out here –
