Watercooler Wednesday 143 – Gail’s Feminine Anything Goes Challenge

Hello Watercooler Wednesday fans! Part of three blog posts today! Thanks for joining me!

Got a wonderful Feminine challenge starting today from Gail –

I went with this lovely stamp set and Designer Series Paper to create this –

libbystamps, stampin up, Lots of Love, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, fancy fold, WWC

It’s one of those neat, fancy folds! See when you open it –

libbystamps, stampin up, Lots of Love, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, fancy fold, WWC

It truly is lovely! And quite simple too!

I started with a card base of 4 1/2 x 9, scored at 3 1/3. The second panel is 8 x 3, scored at 4. The Designer Series Paper is added to the card base inside and outside flap. So easy!

The other Design Team members created some lovely cards as well – check them out! Watercooler Wednesday. You can also link up your own card there as well! Looking forward to seeing your creations.

You can see my other two blog post here and here. They are both blog hops!!!

Trick or Treat – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Just a few days until Halloween. Create with Connie and Mary would like to help you get ready for last-minute holiday candy giving with our Saturday blog hop.

Our theme this week is Treat Holders! Perfect idea.

I saw these cute little Clear Tiny Treat Boxes in the Holiday Mini catalog (yes, they are in the big idea book, but, I overlooked them) decorated for Halloween. I thought this was a great idea for my September and October Card Buffets.

This is how I decorated them –

libbystamps, stampin up, Spooky Cat, Spooky Cat Bundle, Spooky Night DSP, Cat Punch, Washi Label Punch, CCMC

Super cute and, oh, so easy!

I alternated the punched printed cats and I used the same Designer Series Pattern to wrap the box. It reverses well here depending on the cat you punch. I wrapped the box with retired baker’s twine from Stampin Up (last year).

libbystamps, stampin up, Spooky Cat, Spooky Cat Bundle, Spooky Night DSP, Cat Punch, Washi Label Punch, CCMC

I found candy corn taffy to fill these boxes perfectly.

I think I’ll be making more of these to pass out to co-workers. They are too quick to create!

All the Design Team members have created some great treat holders. Check them out. Go forward to Debbie Henderson. Go back to Mary Brown.

Stampin’ Up Supplies –

  • Bundles – Spooky Cat
  • Card Stock – Very Vanilla
  • Ink – Black Memento, Pumpkin Pie
  • DSP – Spooky Night
  • Punches – Cat Punch, Washi Label (retired)

Happy Stampin’

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Fun Edge Cards

Happy last day of September! I know, I’m thinking the same thing, where did this month go?? Let’s play it up with a card for Create with Connie and Mary and a blog hop too!

Our theme this month is Fun Edge Cards. You’re going to love this! It’s time to get creative with our edges!

I love these themes that make us think. I thought about this one for a while. I have several punches to create nice decorative edges, but I wanted something bold. I think this fits the bill –

libbystamps, stampin up, Eastern Beauty, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Painted Autumn DSP, CCMC

Can you guess what this edge is from? Of course – it’s the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. Again. Well, they’re conveniently right on my desk…..

libbystamps, stampin up, Eastern Beauty, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Painted Autumn DSP, CCMC

It made for a wonderful ‘edged’ card! The flower was quickly cut from the Designer Series Paper to make quick work of this card. I added the stamping from the Eastern Beauty stamp set. The stamp set has soo many interesting shapes to get creative with.

Like my design? Just wait until you see the other Design Team members cards!!

Going forward, you’ll see the talented Debbie Henderson. Needing to take a step back, you’ll see Mary Brown.

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Eastern Beauty
  • Framelits – Seasonal Layers
  • Card Stock – Crumb Cake,
  • Ink – Early Espresso

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – One Layer Cards

Happy second day of fall!

Got a fall inspired card for Create with Connie and Mary for our Saturday blog hop.

Our theme today is : One Layer Card.

This is a perfect theme to have! One layer cards can be very difficult to create. So, we have some great inspiration for you!

libbystamps, stampin up, Colorful Seasons, Painted Harvest, CCMC, one layer card

I went with the Colorful Seasons stamp set. Both leaves stamp so beautiful together. Being a photopolymer stamp, it makes stamping soo easy! It doesn’t matter which one you start with. Either one works first and stamps perfectly over the other!

The sentiment is from Painted Harvest. It went well with this fall theme card stamped over the solid leaf.

Hard to believe that is only stamped on a single layer! Check out the other the other Design Team members to see what they created –

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Colorful Seasons, Painted Harvest
  • Card Stock – Very Vanilla
  • Ink – Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzaz, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip
Happy Stampin’

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Awning Cards

Have we got a great blog hop today with Create with Connie and Mary!

Our theme is Awning Cards.

I admit, I don’t think I’ve ever made an awning card. You know how doors and windows sometimes have awnings over them for shade? Well, that apparently works with card making too! And, it makes for some cute card designs.

I pulled out some new Stampin’ Up Designer Series Paper for this design. I notice that in small towns, they tend to decorate the windows according to seasons – and, fall, who doesn’t love fall!?!? That was my inspiration!

libbystamps, stampin up, Spooky Cat, Spooky Night DSP, window card, awning card

I photographed my card as it was lying flat. But that didn’t really show off the ‘awning’.

Check out the dimension –

libbystamps, stampin up, Spooky Cat, Spooky Night DSP, window card, awning card

I used Acetate Window Sheets for the window.

libbystamps, stampin up, Spooky Cat, Spooky Night DSP, window card, awning cardI thought the pumpkins and sentiment looked best on the inside peeking through the opening, just like a real window!

This card was also minimally stamped. The pumpkins were cut from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper! The awning was also trimmed according to the circles in the pattern. So easy!

Check out the other the other Design Team members –

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Holiday Catalog

Have we got a fun hop of cards today for our Create with Connie and Mary blog hop!

Our theme is the new Holiday Catalog.

Where do I begin??? This year it’s just FABULOUS!!

A favorite of mine is the Pizza Boxes. They are coated to be food safe, but hold cards equally as well. So that was my starting point for these –

libbystamps, stampin up, Painted Harvest, Merry Cafe, Mini Pizza Boxes, Whisper White 3x3 Envelopes, Everyday Label Punch, CCMC

The Painted Harvest is next on my favorites so far which I combined with the Merry Cafe to create 4 3×3 little cards. Another new thing is 3×3 mini envelopes! (They are under the cards in the picture.)

libbystamps, stampin up, Painted Harvest, Merry Cafe, Mini Pizza Boxes, Whisper White 3x3 Envelopes, Everyday Label Punch, CCMCI used the flower center and a partial leaf to create the little pumpkin here.

libbystamps, stampin up, Painted Harvest, Merry Cafe, Mini Pizza Boxes, Whisper White 3x3 Envelopes, Everyday Label Punch, CCMC

Here, I created the pooling water look with the fern stamp and three inks, Black Memento, Basic Grey and Smokey Slate.

libbystamps, stampin up, Painted Harvest, Merry Cafe, Mini Pizza Boxes, Whisper White 3x3 Envelopes, Everyday Label Punch, CCMC

Thinking out of the box here by using the two acorns pieces, opposite, I created the holiday glasses.

libbystamps, stampin up, Painted Harvest, Merry Cafe, Mini Pizza Boxes, Whisper White 3x3 Envelopes, Everyday Label Punch, CCMCThe wreath here is pretty straight forward. It’s the flower without the stamped centers.

Did you notice the ‘ticket corner’ looking punched corners on all the cards? I used the new Everyday Label Punch to create them. Just insert them from the top of the punch using the edge as a guideline.

We all have our favorites and products we gravitate too. See what the other Design Team members created –
