December??? Where has this year gone??
Welcome to the second post for today! This one is a Blog Hop too for We Create!
What we do is, ‘we create’ a card then ‘step it up’ or ‘step it over’.
I started with this –
A very nice card! Wonderful – fun, bright, cheery colors! Then I stepped up the design……
……by adding some ribbon behind the sentiment that’s how! I never think to do this, but, it adds so much to a design.
Now, the card is a WOW! This was one of the choices at my November Card Buffet a couple of weeks ago and it was a total hit!!!
I do love the addition of the ribbon. It just makes the card!
Take a little time and tell me your thoughts on the two cards. Then head to the talented Kris Kilkenny. Stampin’ Up Supplies –
- Stamp Set – Watercolor Words
- Card Stock – Berry Burst, Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist
- Ink – Berry Burst

Got you thinking ’bout it, didn’t I?
We have a new sketch at Create with Connie and Mary challenges today!
Isn’t this a great layout for a card? I love it! I’ll put it in my go-to sketches on Pinterest! That way I can easily find it later. Yes, I lose ideas like this…..
Back to the design, I went with a HB card –
Lol. HB. Happy Birthday. Get it?? This was just fun to play around with the letters. It fit the sketch well! The little gifts are actually cut from one of the patterns in the Designer Series Paper! How cool is that? They made perfect points like the sketch.
I’ll have to create a few more of these! I have lots of this paper – it’s a cool set of patterns. This will be a great card to have in my stash when a need to grab a card!
As I said before, this is a great sketch! You should see what the others Design Team members did with it – lots of different ‘styles’ of cards! All are wonderful!
Then, I hope we have inspired you enough to play along with us! You can link up a card on our Facebook site.
- Stamp Set – Crazy About You

- Card Stock – Crushed Curry
- Ink – Emerald Envy

This past Sunday, I had my annual Open House.
I plan lots of things for everyone to do. Below are some highlights of what we enjoyed.
Re-homing retired products. Mostly stamps. Lots and lots and lots of stamps.
New catalog viewing. Information about joining, bundle list, catalog scavenger hunt, and information about joining my Stamp Club 6 groups. And, yes, goodies. Post It note holders and Ink Spot boxes I designed.
Food. Everyone loves to eat. Trying to serve healthier options.
Goody bags for the make’n takes and treats. I stamped each one with the new In-Colors and they wrote their names on them and adhered them to their bags. Very cute!
The make’n takes!!!!
New to them cards and products table.
Fun photos. The last one I was showing off the new catalog being silly!
The details. Towels. I had a co-worker make these for me. I LOVE them. One for the bathroom and one for the kitchen. Aren’t these just awesome?
Now, off to make Thanks You’s for those that attended! Remember, it’s the details!
Wednesday. You know what that means. It’s time for a Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.
This one is from Jean and very appropriate –
It’s a color challenge! Not just any colors – the NEW In-Colors!
I had fun coming up with this –
I think this is a loose interpretation of the Bargello technique.
Mine uses very wide strips of the 2016-2018 In-Color Envelope Paper.
I was such a big fan of the last In-Color Envelope Paper (its since retired). I used it quite a bit instead of the DSP. It’s also a bit less expensive. This time I love both patterns. The other os a bubbly dot pattern of sorts.
Since there was very little of the Sweet Sugarplum used here, that became my background border color and what I used for the cool new scalloped circle around the focal point.
Such a fun way to show off these new colors and new products!
Supplies used –
- Stamps – Designer Tin of cards
- DSP – 2016-2018 In-Color Envelope Paper
- Dies – Layering Circles Framelits
- Card Stock – Very Vanilla, Sweet Sugarplum
- Ink – Early Espresso
I’d love to read what you think! It’s good ‘card-carma’!
Then, head over to Watercooler Wednesday to get some more inspiration from the other team creations. Some nice projects!
Oh Tuesday. You come around so often!
Time for Try Stampin’ Or Not On Tuesday sketch challenge!
Challenge #275. Theme : Sun and Shore.
Fail. No sun. No shore.
Winner. I have this little cutie –
Yes – ANOTHER shaker card!! Made with this ADORABLE little frog from the hostess set, Love You Lots.
When opened, look at this –
He is just too C U T E !! I used my blender pen filled with alcohol and an ink pad to color him. Then, I cut him out. He actually adhered to the inside of the card.
The outside sentiment was also stamped and cut out. It’s popped up on a dimensional. Wow factor, you know.
I love these colors together as well. So bright. So fun. Great guy card even with the pink!
I’d love to know how you feel about my little froggie! Comments are always welcomed!
Simple enough sketch, right? You don’t have to create a shaker card – but, hey, come play with us over at Try Stampin’ Or Not On Tuesday! Facebook or out blog!
And, I LOVE TO READ YOUR COMMENTS! So leave one. Smiles.
It’s Tuesday. And, I believe I’m a week late on this post.
Time for Try a Stampin’ Or Not On Tuesday challenge!
Great sketch for showing off new Stampin’ Up colors –
Sketch #273, theme : Butterflies. I can handle that!
I pulled out these Thinlits, again to create this –
Quite a sweet card!
Uses all five new colors, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy and ‘For You’ in Dapper Denim. I did add Pink Pirouette behind the flower. It really needed it.
The butterfly is a retired one that I added a couple of left over pieces from the Swirly Scribbles cut out. that addition just made the butterfly!
Head over to Try Stampin’ Or Not On Tuesday and play along with us. You can play on Facebook or on the blog.
But first, please leave me some good ‘card-carma’!
Welcome to the June edition of the Blogging Friends Blog Hop! This is the first of three very special posts today. All featuring NEW products that you can order NOW!
This month our hop features new stuff! So, how about I show off the new In-Colors for 2016-2018?
You know me, I have to have a theme – more than what our general theme is – because that’s the way I stamp!
I created this little nifty holder first –
Sort of simple in design. But, what’s in the box? Not so simple –
Of course, F I V E cards!!!
Yes, a Little Gift of sorts! The focal point here is lol, Dapper Denim!!!
These cards made me say Hooray when it all came together. Each card has all of the five new In-Colors, one a focal point.
The focal point here is Peekaboo Peach. Looks yummy enough to eat!
Kudos for colors that work really well together! And, with this adorable Swirly Scribbles Thinlits…….oh my! Makes a great focal point in Emerald Envy.
This has been a happy day for me that these all came together so nicely! Here, the highlight is Sweet Sugarplum.
Thanks for taking a look at Flirty Flaming and the 2016-2018 In-Color friends!
Now, how about leaving me a comment??
A wonderful set of cards and matching holder for them. Perfect for an Open House to show new colors and product off!
