At our team meeting last night, my upline, Pearl Robb, surprised me with a sweet little, unexpected, gift! I just had to take a picture because, she too was promoted too!

We also did a few make’n takes and created cards to swap!

Here are the swaps from everyone.

I’ll start with mine of course! I also had it on my Card Buffet this weekend. It’s a really cute graduation card –

You are Amazing

Hi Stampers! Today I have a card I designed for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday.

Challenge #317. Optional Theme : A Ray of Sunshine

What a great challenge to get you to thinking! Wouldn’t you agree?

This is what I came up with –

libbystamps, stampin up, All Things Thanks, Sunburst Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, TSOT

I think I got it right on the mark! It’s simply fun! Bright too! You almost need sunglasses!

libbystamps, stampin up, All Things Thanks, Sunburst Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, TSOT

I like the addition of the 2 circles, one in front of the starburst, the other behind. The retired Stampin’ Up Cloudy Day embossing isn’t half bad either! It added just what the card needed!

I hope that I inspired you to create a card using a Ray of Sunshine as your starting point to join us this week! You can link up on our blog  or on our Facebook page – so, you have no reason not to show us a project!

Watercooler Wednesday #113, Libby’s Sketch Challenge

Ha, that’s me!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today at Watercooler Wednesday, as you can see, I’m the host for this weeks challenge! Yippee!

I decided to go with a sketch to spark your creativity!

What do you think –

Pretty fun sketch, I’d say!

I decided to create a shaker card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Circles Collection Framelits, Cupcake Cutouts Framelits, Party Animal DSP, shaker cardIsn’t this cute????

It’s quite nifty in that I used one of our clear envelopes to hold the contents of the shaker card. This makes creating one really easy!!!!

libbystamps, stampin up, Circles Collection Framelits, Cupcake Cutouts Framelits, Party Animal DSP, shaker card

My shakers pieces are from a couple of the patterns in the Designer Series Papers – one had cake slices all over it, the other was rows of candles. Both, I meticulously cut out. Yes, my hand did get a little tired after a while! I also threw in some gold sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim too!

It’s a really fun, upbeat card perfect for anyone!

Get creatin’ and join my challenge over a Watercooler Wednesday! See you at the cooler!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – none!
  • Framelits – Circles Collection, Cupcake Cutouts
  • Card Stock – Tangerine Tango, Emerald Envy, Pacific Point
  • DSP – Party Animal
  • Other – Medium Clear Envelopes, Gold Sequin Trim

GDP Birthday

Quick share today!

I ran across Global Design Project’s new color challenge –

Some really cool colors! Fun. Bright. Great for a birthday card!!!

I created this in a jiffy –

libbystamps, stampin up, Party Pop-Up Thinlits, Layering Circles Framelits, 2016-2018 In-Color Envelope Paper, 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack, GDP

I love it! So happy. So fun! So cheery. So BIRTHDAY!

libbystamps, stampin up, Party Pop-Up Thinlits, Layering Circles Framelits, 2016-2018 In-Color Envelope Paper, 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack, GDP

And, when you open it, a nifty window card!

libbystamps, stampin up, Party Pop-Up Thinlits, Layering Circles Framelits, 2016-2018 In-Color Envelope Paper, 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack, GDP

See what I mean?

I used some Envelope Liner Paper (yes, remember that stuff?) for the front DSP pattern. And, some really pretty Sale-a-Bration ribbon for the cake plate tie. That was just the right addition for the card!

I hope you like it! I love to read your comments!

I’m Here for You, Watercooler Wednesday #104

Morning followers! You’ll be enjoying three posts from me today!

Post two is for Watercooler Wednesday!

We have a great go-to layout from Kathe –

15027727_10210445910319440_4430108612560069562_n

I love these type layouts!

I decided to create something for a friend who recently lost her mother –

libbystamps, stampin up, Here for You, Stylish Stems Framelits, Lots of Labels, Falling in Love DSP, WWC104

These cards are just as necessary as any other card. They are just not fun to make…..

libbystamps, stampin up, Here for You, Stylish Stems Framelits, Lots of Labels, Falling in Love DSP, WWC104

I am loving this flower from the Stylish Stems Framelits!!!!

TIP : I reduced the size of the Lots of Labels Framelit to accommodate the space. I shortened it about 1/4 on each end. I just ran it thought the Big Shot twice, sliding it down just a bit both times.

libbystamps, stampin up, Here for You, Stylish Stems Framelits, Lots of Labels, Falling in Love DSP, WWC104

It’s just a simple, elegant card that invokes lots of feeling. I’m not good at communication when a good friend looses a parent. But, I want her to know I care.

I hope I’ve inspired you with my card. We can always use these cards in our stash…..

Check out the other design team cards at Watercooler Wednesday. Play along with us this week! We love to see new creators!

Supplies –

  • Stamp Set – Here for You
  • Dies –Stylish Stems Framelits, Lots of Labels
  • Card Stock – Very Vanilla, Sweet Sugarplum
  • DSP – Falling in Love
  • Ink – Sweet Sugarplum
  • Other – Pearl Basic Jewels

Blogging Friends Blog Hop – February

Welcome to our February Blogging Friends Blog Hop, the month of love!

We have a guest blogger again this month, Tami White. Welcome, Tami!

Our theme this month is, of course, LOVE.

Blogging Friends Icon

This was quite convenient for me.  My hubs was going to visit his mother (in Holland, we’re in Texas) for her birthday. I always like to make him love notes to stash in his suitcase!

I went with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits from the big idea book and catalog. I paired it with a 6×6 DSP stack from the mini, Sending Love.

I wanted to show you the versatility of our dies and to use every part of it.

In this first card, I used the outer part of the heart die cut –

libbystamps, stampin up, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Large Letters Framelits, Silver Glimmer Paper, Sending Love DSP, BFBH, 3x3, love notes

I paired it with the inner part of the love die. I did plan that I would be using the outer portion and started with a square to create a 3×3 card.

Most people only use this portion of this die, the sweet, scribbly heart –

libbystamps, stampin up, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Large Letters Framelits, Silver Glimmer Paper, Sending Love DSP, BFBH, 3x3, love notes

Of course, it’s a great choice because it’s just too cute. You can see that I used it with the outer portion of the love die this time. I also don’t want to waste any of the Glimmer paper either!

Lastly, I used the center of the heart –

libbystamps, stampin up, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Large Letters Framelits, Silver Glimmer Paper, Sending Love DSP, BFBH, 3x3, love notes

It’s kinda funky and I really like the style of it! (I had a Card Buffet a couple of weeks ago and we used the inner part of the U’s then – I saved the outer parts!) This card just says, love U! How sweet is that?

libbystamps, stampin up, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Large Letters Framelits, Silver Glimmer Paper, Sending Love DSP, BFBH, 3x3, love notesAll together, some mighty fine cards to be stashed away between clothes to let the hubs know how much I love and miss him!

What do you think? Have I inspired you to used all pieces of a die cut out? I’d love to read your comments!

And, of course, this is a blog hop, so head on over to Mary Blocher to see what she has done with this months theme of love!
