Mailable Christmas Card – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is a Mailable Christmas cards.

I’d like to say, I hope all my cards are mailable, lol! But, for this, I did create a card with minimal height –

libbystamps, stampin up, Pinning for Plaid, Quilt Builder, Quilted Christmas 6x6 DSP, CCMC

It sure has the WOW factor even though it’s simply done.

libbystamps, stampin up, Pinning for Plaid, Quilt Builder, Quilted Christmas 6x6 DSP, CCMC

I used a piece of the Quilted Christmas 6×6 Designer Series paper for this inside! It was already printed with the quilt – perfect for this quick and elegant mailable card!

I used the stamp from the October Paper Pumpkin. It was just the right size to place under the quilt cut out.

I am excited to see the other mailable cards that our Design Team has created! Aren’t you? Go forward to Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown. I know you’ll be inspired! Perhaps you might even get to working on your Christmas cards this holiday weekend!

Stampin’ Up Supplies

  • Stamp Set – Pinning for Plaid (October Paper Pumpkin kit)
  • Framelits – Quilt Builder
  • Card Stock – Whisper White
  • Ink – Black Memento
  • DSP – Quilted Christmas
Happy Stampin’

OnStage Make’n Takes

It’s been a week since the OnStage Stampin’ Up convention! I miss it already.

One of the many perks is seeing new products and playing with them. We had four different make’n take sessions.

Here are two of the cards –

libbystamps, stampin up, OnStage 2017 make'n takes, Petal Palette, Petal Passion DSP, Whisper White 1/4 Organza Ribbon, Petal Passion Embellishments

I love how we colored just a few of the flowers in on this card. The Petal Passion Designer Series Paper pack is all black and white and it’s sort of shaded, not solid blackened images. I can see this will become a favorite of mine.

This was a fun card –

libbystamps, stampin up, OnStage 2017 make'n takes, Bubble Over, Bubble Over Bundle, Bottles & Bubbles Framelits, Bubble & Fizz DSP, Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes

The stamp set and framelits, Bubble Over Bundle, is super adorable. The Bubble & Fizz Designer Series paper will be a Sale-a-bration option this year. I’ll be using lots of this too! Lots of cute patterns.

libbystamps, stampin up, OnStage 2017 make'n takes

This was two separate sessions. Both items are really cute. New gable boxes and fancy Sweet Soiree Specialty paper. And, this ribbon!!! So pretty!

These little tags are sweet too. And more itty bitty punches!

Stamparatus, Stamp a What??

I know…odd name. But, what does it mean?

Stamp: To impress a pattern or mark (especially an official one) on a surface, object, or document using an engraved or inked block or die or other instrument

Apparatus: The technical equipment or machinery needed for a particular activity or purpose

Stamp + Apparatus = Stamparatus

Let me explain in this video from Stampin’ Up –

If you are curious about stamping repeated images without issues this IS THE TOOL for YOU! You can actually perfectly  align and stamp four different images with the Stamparatus from Stampin’ Up – more than the other repeat stamping devises.

Why do YOU need one? You’ll fall in love with stamping all over again when you learn everything you can do with it!

  • Make multiples with ease
  • Consistently stamp crisp, clean images
  • If you want a darker impression, apply more ink and restamp—no need to start over
  • Make fewer mistakes, saving time and money
  • Easily create 2-step, 3-step, and 4-step stamped images using reversible plates
  • Develop new and specialized stamping techniques with adjustable stamping plates and precision placement

OnStage Card Shares

This past weekend, I went to Stampin’ Up’s convention, OnStage. I went this year for two reasons :

One. I’ve been a Stampin’ Up demonstrator for 10 years (as of September 5th) and you get to do that fun walk across the stage.

Two. I finally have advanced in title after all these years and hard work.

I was pretty excited! Made some new friends, saw some old friends, and meet online friends (fellow Design Team members) in person!

I participated in an organized SWAP for SUDSOL and made this card –

libbystamps, stampin up,

Well, one I glue wrong and it became this –

libbystamps, stampin up,

With the leftover pieces, I made this for general swaps –

libbystamps, stampin up,

Both card were so pretty and made others happy and eager to trade! Photos were taken in the hotel on the bed!!! Lol!

Got to get working on classes for this upcoming weekend!

Happy Stampin’

The Beauty of Fall – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

What a wonderful Saturday! Great day to check out the Create with Connie and Mary blog hop!

Our theme this week is The Beauty of Fall.

This is perfect because I LOVE fall. It’s my favorite time of the year.

I created a nice fall card –

libbystamps, stampin up, Painted Harvest, Layering Circles Framelits, Painted Autumn DSP, Colorful Season, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Gold Metallic Thread, CCMC

It’s really fun! I combined a variety of patterns from the Painted Harvest Designer Series Paper as well as some stamping!

The leaves I inked up in the Crushed Curry, then rocked the outer portion in the different ink pads to get this effect on the leaves. It’s a gorgeous, easy, and a must try technique!

I even got fancy – fancy and wrapped the gold thread behind the circle. These sort of things I struggle to get the look I want!

I am sure the other Design Team members created wonderful fall cards too!

Go forward to Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown. I know you’ll be inspired!

Stampin’ Up Supplies

  • Stamp Set – Painted Harvest, Colorful Season
  • Framelits – Seasonal Layers, Layering Circles
  • Card Stock – Very Vanilla
  • Ink – Early Espresso
  • DSP – Painted Autumn
  • Other – Gold Metallic Thread
