With Sympathy, CCMC407

I just love my Thursday challenges.

What I don’t love is having to make a sympathy card.

It’s Create with Connie and Mary day. The challenge this week –

CCMC407

Quite a lovely design I must say.

I needed to create a card for a co-worker who lost her father-in-law unexpectedly. I went with the sketch to create a card for her and her family –

libbystamps, stampin up, Remarkable You, Everyday Chic Washi Tape, Rose Wonder, CCMC407

A very serene card.

The three areas in the background were created with the Everyday Chic Washi Tape. You can see the one is very shimmery. Not sure if that is really sympathy card appropriate, but I liked the light softness it added viewing it front on.

The flower is from the Remarkable You set, which will be carrying over in the new catalog, as well as the sentiment from Rose Wonder. And, of course, the flower is fussy cut. I did pop it up on Dimensionals to make it more of a focal point.

Nice card, huh? I hope the colors aren’t too somber. I’d love to hear what you think. Please leave good ‘card-carma’ in the form of a comment.

Then head over to Create with Connie and Mary to look at all the other wonderful creations the design team created. And, you know, you can add yours to our mix too!

Happy Stampin’

  1. What a FUN way to use that washi tape! I hoard the stuff…I love it, but rarely use it…like I’m scared of it, but love it at the same time! This design with the washi could be used with so many different stamp sets! I think I can! You have inspired me to give it a try!

    • Yes use it soon – I’ve found the longer I wait to use it, the less sticky it seems to be. Maybe it’s just our humidity here in Texas!
