Happiness. What a sweet thing, happiness. And, what a sweet thing, this card share for today.

I was inspired at 11:30 pm last night, yes, I had to work today, to create this little Happiness card. I wanted to make something for The Paper Players Challenge #147. The challenge said “it’s a great way to use up scraps, mix and match patterns and textures, or anything your heart and mind can imagine!!!” I sort of complied.

The (I think) So Saffron piece of DSP came from an old packet from a Stampin’ Up Regional. Um, ya, I never completed that project. The flower was from my box of stuff that I thought I was going to use, but, obviously didn’t! And, who doesn’t have scraps of ribbon lying about their crafty area?

So, voila! With a little trimming, a little stampin’, a little tying, a card is created! And, a lovely card at that, if I do say so myself! This was a fun challenge even though I didn’t have a great mix of patterns or papers.

Hope you like it! Hope it brings a little happiness to your day!

  1. I know I already left a comment on Stampin Connection—imagine my pleasure when I clicked on the current samples and recognized my sketch—but I had to leave another comment here too! This just makes me smile…so sunny & happy! I love that vellum flower and your patterns are just adorable together! Thanks for playing with my sketch this week!

    • Thanks, Heather! The flower is vellum just stamped in white craft ink. I appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment!

  2. I love your mix of patterns, Libby, and also the vellum stamped flower. The flourish stamped on patterned paper really ties it all together. Thanks for sharing your creation with us at The Paper Players!

  3. This IS a happy little card! Love how you’ve used saffron for all the pieces but mixed up the patterns. And the green really pops. Love your vellum flower–stunning! Thank you for joining us at The Paper Players!

  4. What a pretty card! I love the vellum flower and the mix of yellow papers. I wish your pictures were larger so I could see more of the detail — my eyes seem to get worse each passing year — and I know I miss some of your pretty details each time I visit your blog. Thanks for joining us at the Paper Players this week!

  5. Libby, your card is bright and cheerful and screams happiness. LOVE IT! I also love that you tied the greens together in the top right and bottom left of the card! So glad you joined the Paper Players this week
